Ooo... so I can't delegate and I do home improvement. We often have these Jeff Foxworthy moments when I'm re-asphalting the driveway and he's playing World of Warcraft and feeling like a jerk because he's taken out the trash and I'm reasphalting the bloody driveway. But I rarely have plans that exist beyond what's in my head and those change... *

We have the dinner thing worked out -- I use a set of Dungeons and Dragons dice and a card. When he gets home and I have no clue what I'm doing for dinner, he rolls the eight-sided die for main protein (beef, chicken, pork, sausage -- usually chicken, eggs, turkey, beans, tofu) and a 6 sided for style (American, Asian, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, North African) and a ten-sided for the carb (pasta, potatoes, rice, couscous, barley, corn, polenta, quinoa, bread, roll again). I keep a number of recipes in mental storage and lots of veg and all of those ingredients in the pantry or freezer so I can usually put something together, or if we get a weird combination (Asian polenta never works) we can usually riff off the other two. But it took us six years to work out "What would you like for dinner?" is a valid question.

* Also, since I went back to academia, he makes about 3 times what I make, so I consider my economic contribution to the household to be in labor, not wages, and I have more free time.

I have a simple solution, I decide what's for dinner and he eats it..win and don't die..works for me!
Really, we make a dinner plan once a week, we both decide what we want and then add easy meals in between big meals. I won't heat up the house everyday and I like light meals or leftovers! mike cooks the breakfast meals and the grill meals, I do the rest.

Hubby works weird hours (4 to midnight 2 days a week and mid to noon 2 days a week) with an hour drive in each direction, plus we have a 17 yr old and a 5 yr old with vastly different schedules. As a result we rarely all eat at the same time. I've figured out that the only way to have them eat anything other than frozen pizzas and burritos is to cook a big pot of something once a week that will last 4 or 5 days. The rest of the time they can eat whatever frozen junk they want. Thankfully none of us mind eating the same thing multiple times in a row.

To the original question...
How do I annoy then men in my life... lets see

BF - Baby talk, poking and playing with him when he's trying to play video games, talking to him right before (and consequently during) a cut scene in a video game) walking out of the room for something asinine just before I know he's about to say something to me (he always gets this "look" right before he opens his mouth to speak) blowing my Vapor in between his line of sight and the Tv when we're watching movies, texting him when he's trying to play video games, calling his little rat dog by anything other than his name, and my absolute favorite "I want a divorce!" randomly throughout the day even though we're not married and will likely never be (I have issues with the whole consept of me and marrige being in the same subject)

Dad - turning off/unpluggin the fan by his chair whenever he's not looking (or goes to the bathroom) and feigning innocence when he asks who did it, putting the TV on something he hates then sticking the remote in his chair where he'll sit on it and push it between the cusions where he then gets the whole house on a 20min search for the remote before he looks under his own .... (and makes himself look stupid every time) and my absolute favorite - searching the entire list of programs on the tv (We have sattelite full package... so thats ALOT) at least 2x beforer finding a show everyone else will enjoy but will drive him nuts but he's out voted so has to deal with it :D

Boss - Give him the "thousand yard stare" whenever he starts going on and on and on and on about something I know better than he does, waiting til he's done, then correcting him and making him feel like a fool

My guy friends are all very easy to annoy.. start talking about girly stuff or my sexlife.. irritates the hell out of them every time :p men hate "girl talk" for some reason  lol

and the easiest and sometimes most fun of all... my Rotti "Bully" - pinch his cheeks (lightly of course) and start talking to him in baby talk... one of these days that one's gonna get me bit
