My wife & I have been vaping for about 2 months, and our equipment is fairly simple: Unique 901t e-cigs with 901t atomizers & .9ml tanks. For cleaning I'm currently using W2V's Atomizer Refresher, which smells vaguely of denatured alcohol and might have a little VG or PG in it, not sure. Works very good but with two heavy vapers in the house it's getting pricey buying it online. What do you guys use or recommend for keeping your attys clean?

I use vodka or water, or both. Soak in vodka a bit, the flush with water. Suck water through the atty, shake dry. Either leave all night to air dry, or dry burn to dry. If dry burning, be careful not to pop the coil. That's my personal method for throw away attys. If a rebuildable, I just take apart and soak components in water to get juice out of the threads and all.

i use a double boiler. pot of water with a smaller pot inside it both have water but the outer pot will boil and the inner pot will simmer. I use needle nose pliers and swirl the carto's/ attys around in the boiling water to clean them up. takes about 5 mins then i shut off the heat and leave the atty/ carto in the hot water until it cools. leave to dry and they are like new.

Both, actually. Mainly to clear out built up gunk, but to occasionally get rid of a previous flavor.
Thanks everyone for the ideas!
Well, I wouldn't do this every time I wanted to clear out a flavor, but to clean out the built up gunk this is the best way...

It's how I've been cleaning my atomizers for well over three years now.
After they have been cleaned they are basically like new again.

Hot tap water followed by a final rinse in cold water from my Pur water filter. Nothing worse than tap-water taste leftover in silica wick or in my genny tanks.

For carts/510 style atties I use a plunger kit. Soak overnight in Everclear, then do the plunge first with hot water, then again with filtered cold. Let em dry overnight.

Vodka soaks and occasional dry burns.

A couple of things to say:

Forgetting just about any painted (black) atty in the vodka overnight will often result in the paint coming off. The paint can end up in the atty and tastes pretty bad... so if the paint comes off, remember to rinse well with vodka or just plain water.

Dry burns... I used to dry burn often and maybe even more often than necessary. I wanted to clear the coil and try to get as much life out of each atty as possible. That is the way to do it. Dry burning is the best way to get the gunk off a coil. -- These days, I dry burn occasionally. I just don't care that much any more. When the performance of any atty I might be using starts to drop off, I'm just as likely to throw it away as I am to try to rescue it.
