What do you do and what does your better half do?

Are you one of the lucky ones like a house wife/husband that gets to stay at home? Retired? Home business/own company?

Or are you one of the ones who slave to make a buck like me?

I am a Field Service Engineer. Fancy name for repairing ATM machines. Ok I will add you to my list of people that wants me to give them money....looooong list. My better half is in Tech Support for DLP televisions and projectors. More like the bad end of a B!tch session. I hear about all of the frustrated peps every day.

Whats your story. Vent if you like...I am interested in what the V4L family does. Do you get to vape at work? Etc.

My job title is Network Engineer, but I answer phones at a help desk for a government agency. I used to be a Network Administrator for a large non-profit until they decided to lay everyone off who had 10 years or more experience, so I am kind of retired from there (at least I am collecting a small pension). My wife got laid off one week before I got my current job, so she is looking for work and doing freelance writing.

I am a single father of a 3 1/2 year old little girl who is the light of my life :)

Although good women should feel free to apply to change the single part :)

I am a lifetime retail manager, went into business for myself 5 years ago. Lost my business recently due to the economy, currently an unemployed house dad looking for work. My lovely wife sells airplane parts and now supports our family (I am proud of her) I know thats not even close to as funny as snows jobs.

I work for a government law enforcement agency know as the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), and really need some sleep............ok not really. I'm actually a call center CSR, I sit in a cube all day and answer phones. Wife is unemployed right now but just finished school for medical assistant.

I'm also a rock star (but only in the shower and while playing Guitar Hero :headbang:)

I work in back-end mortgage operations, specifically Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance. I'm currently employed by a securities company coordinating forensic reviews of really bad mortgage loans that were sold into securities under false pretenses and that subsequently failed - basically my audit team is trying to hunt down the crooks that sold fraudulent mortgages into the bond market and precipitated the collapse of the financial services industry. I love my job, it's nice to be one of the good guys in an industry full of crooks and thieves.

Hubby is an un/under-employed graphic artist specializing in 2-D and 3-D animation, multimedia and interactive design. He runs the ranch and takes care of the house and the kids while I navigate the corporate world and bring home the money. Total role-reversal, and I wouldn't have it any other way. (Well, it might be nice if he got more contract work and I got more vacation time, but it works for us...)

I do vape on the job - followed my boss' example there -
