What do you do to annoy the men in your life?

My favorite thing to do is to refuse to call a Chuck a Chuck..I refer to it as a Charles! It drives Mike mad!

In fact a Chuck (Collet) is the part the key turns so you can put your drill bit in place.. But most people call the key the "Chuck".

When we go to home Depot I will refer to any tool as a thingy or doodad..again making Mike climb walls. I went with my son-in-law, Chris. to buy a hole cutter. I asked the girl at the counter to give me that cookie cutter thing. She did and Chris went pale when she knew what I meant. It's fun..try it!

That brings me to why tools are named for men. Chuck, phillips screwdriver, Plumb Bob..ect. Do ladies call their toaster a Betty? The broom Lolita?
It goes back to Ancient times..Tommy Hawks come to mind. I bet there was once a caveman named og who called his club Bill!

I tend to shut off, if I'm reading ANYTHING I don't hear a word anyone says - until 20 seconds later I realize someone was saying something to me. Drives my Mike NUTS!

For awhile, whenever I drove DH's vehicle, I changed all the preset radio stations of his favorites to stuff I knew he'd hate. Apparently because I'm female he didn't think I knew how. He thought he had some kind of electrical problem or something. Drove him nuts for almost a year. Ah good times.

Oh... but I HAVE! You see - we built a 1000 sq ft addition on our last house - just me and hubby. - Everything from framing to plumbing to electrical and heating - drywall and finishing. (I won't let him paint) I can never remember the proper names for most tools, so it's a doohickey or a thingy or a youknowwhat... and I've said it at homedepot. Hi... I'm installing some ducting and I need a thingy so I can get it from 6in to 4in. at a split, Ya know? Drives him nuts

I phone his place of work and ask to speak to "Billyeee". Of course his name is William but he likes to be called Bill. For some reason the guys rag him at work when I call him Billy and yell out "Billyeee your wife is on the phone" so I do just to get my digs in from time to time.
