Considering I have a ever-expanding collection of vape gear, and judging by the posts I've seen from others over the years, it seems like many of you guys do, too.

My question is, what do you guys do with your vape related gear once you retire it? You know, the stuff that WORKS, but just doesn't get used anymore, for whatever reason.

I'd imagine the most common answers would be giving it away to a friend, giving it away to a new vaper, letting it collect dust, Pay-It-Forward, trades, or selling on ebay.

I'm running out of room in my vape area, because of all of the retired stuff I no longer use! I've helped a bunch of new people start vaping recently, and I've given away a few clearos, coils, liquids, etc....but I still have tons of stuff I don't use.

What do you guys do with it all?

I was concerned about my old eGo batteries and such going to waste. Luckily, my sister finally started getting serious about vaping. My old eGo-sized stuff will soon be all gone.

She's not into mods. So I'll have to sell whatever few that I can force myself to give up. I really need to get rid of it. Well, a little bit of it anyway. Some of them are like old friends.

I give juice away to my sister or my daughter's vaping friend.

I've given a lot of stuff away through the years, but I also have my stash boxes. The stuff in my stash boxes insures that I will be able to vape forever no matter what the FDA or the wonderful state of New York decides to do in the future AND/OR I will be able to vape as long as I want without spending money (or VERY little) to do so. I've bought extremely little for over a year and a half now and don't see that changing in the future. Its actually fun to get out "old" vape toys and use them for a few weeks before putting them back in the stash box and switching to something else. :D

That's what the classifieds are here for... ;) I've budgeted the same amount of $$ I spent on tobacco per month when I smoked over to vaping since I started in 2010.. I usually purchase the best quality gear my budget allows ($255.00 per month). This has given me the opportunity to trade for similar value / quality gear, or recoup most of my investment if outright selling. :) It has also limited what I can reasonably just give away due to cost.

I figure that if tobacco smoking was important enough for me to spend that kind of $$ on for many years, why should vaping be any different? I just substituted one for the other. I'm in this for harm-reduction, not to save $$. It makes me feel great to actually have gear to trade / sell instead of a mountain of empty packs, ashes, and butts. ;) :)

I have been known to buy eGo kits for friends of mine who are genuinely interested in vaping though.. :)

All of my super old stuff that I started with in August 2012 I shipped it all to two friends just starting out....liquid and all. This most recent 'clean out' I put it all on the classifieds and it all sold in one lot. I was happy, they got a good deal and I'm on my way to a second REO lol. There is a pay it forward group here and I have heard you can donate to a CAASA thread here and when new members join they send them something that was paid forward to that cause. All great ideas :)

Most vape gear is pretty heavy. An old Kayfun is good but a SQuape is down right perfect. I throw old vape stuff at hobos when they get too close. If you are lucky, the one you hit will get knocked out cold and then the rest will scatter...for a while...until the lure of that shiny piece of stainless steel draws them in. They move slowly at first, cautiously like rabbits coming out of their warrens at dusk. Eventually they will all flock around the stainless steel and knock it about trying to figure out what it is. Then, with any luck, you can chuck another one and knock out another. I can usually get 3 or 4 this way before the flock becomes to wary. Then it's just a quick call to the police for hobo clean up.
