Depends. Box mods are nice for going out - slap a BCC tank with a factory-made coil on there, and I'm good to go. Slowly but surely, I''m seeing my box mods replace my Vision Spinners. The battery life on the box mods (an IPV mini 30w and an MVP 20w) is incredible. Days on a single charge. But (and this is just me), I rarely put an RDA on my 30 watt Mini. I'm paranoid that juice might drip down into the electronics. Whether I SHOULD be paranoid about that, I dunno. Seeing all the problems people run into with the latest regulated boxes, I figure I'm gonna give mine all the help they can get.

When I get home (Phew! Phump down on the couch!) then it's Mech time! Pull out a Nemesis or the Stingray X, pick an RDA (whaddaya in the mood for? Cloud chucking? Flavor through the roof?) and relax. Dripping while I'm driving or at work is unworkable - it can get messy, and it takes my attention away from crunching numbers or watching the road. And I wouldn't be comfortable subjecting my office co-workers to the clouds that billow out of my RDA's.

I consider myself lucky nobody gives me any crap about vaping in the office. I don't want to push my luck by vaping on a mech at work.

But the flavor on a .5 ohm coil coming out of a Derringer or the thick, pluming CLOUD of vapor that I can get out of a Little Boy is something my BCC tanks just can't do.

So, both, I guess lol...it just depends on where I'm at and/or what I'm doing.

I have the mvp 20w and I literally hate it. I wasted $93.43 on the set up. I am going to sell it and get something better. Maybe the sigelei 150w with a new tank and a rda

Whoof! Damn! I paid $25.95 for mine! Good night! Sending you some sympathy, Choopie!

I got it at a vape shop down the street from me, well the mvp 20w wasn't a full $93 I bought a tank as well and it's the aspire notilus mini and that was $25.99.

Bought I'm thinking about getting a box mod and a mech mod, seen some cheap ones online that i could get

Suggestion on the mech, Choopie - if you're gonna get a mech, take a look at the Infinite (nobody else's!) Stingray X. Fantastic mech - absolutely trouble free, no top pin to mess with (it floats!) and it's smaller than most mechs. Of the three mechs I own, the X is my favorite.

Infinite Stingray X Mechanical MOD - Stainless - EVcigarettes.com
That price seems a little high - I paid $39.99 for mine.

Mech's come in all shapes and sizes, by the way, and not just various feeder models. Ever seen a Kato? Or a microstick?

Regulated mods come is all shapes and sizes, too.

I prefer regulated devices. I like the consistency of the vape that power control provides, whether it be a box or a tube.

Found a stringray like that and it's $38.99 and it's a clone though

I started with sticks (Spinner/VV3s) Went to box (MVP2) Grabbed a couple of regulated tube mods, then iPV Mini and iSticks. Just got my first mech this week. Nothin' crazy on it - running an 18500 with a kick in it (so it's kinda not completely mech.) I just want to be "prepared" for Indiana's seemingly pending "vapocalypse" :p

I like my iSticks for out and about (I always have a micro USB charger in the car). I might grab another mech or two, again just for backups....

Me i started with the kangertech evod vape pen. hated it but stuck with it till i could get a new one then i bought a mvp 20w and i hate that since it doesn't give me what i want is a ton of flavor and some clouds. the mvp 20w clouds is like a cigarette , i am trying to quit but it's not helping but i am sticking with vaping even though i am still having cigs here and there... i might buy a couple mechs for back ups as well.
