Me i started with the kangertech evod vape pen. hated it but stuck with it till i could get a new one then i bought a mvp 20w and i hate that since it doesn't give me what i want is a ton of flavor and some clouds. the mvp 20w clouds is like a cigarette , i am trying to quit but it's not helping but i am sticking with vaping even though i am still having cigs here and there... i might buy a couple mechs for back ups as well.

Choopie, what kind of topper are you running on your MVP? I use Kanger Protank 2s (rebuild my own heads), use 30p/70v juice (DIY that) and I get PLENTY of flavor and cloud running at about 9-11W. I have a kayfun clone with a 1 ohm coil that I'm running just under 15W, and I have a haze in my living room right now....

It's not all about the battery - it's very dependent on the type of topper you're using, and the juice as well. Airflow makes a difference, too.... I have the "bigger" mods, but even with a 0.5ohm coil on an RDA or in one of my Subtanks, I personally don't go much above 23W with anything.

I prefer mechanical mods. I have nothing against box mods, they're just not for me. The one thing that I really like about box mods is that they're all the rage right now and lots of former mechanical mod enthusiasts are making the switch and listing their mechanicals on the Classifieds at amazingly low prices due to lack of demand. There are deals all around for mech-lovers like me.

VV all the way.
Why put myself back at the mercy of miserable battery drain and having to change batteries 4 times a day? No thanks, mech's.
I haven't touched my mech's since moving to vv devices. VV gives consistent power from the first vape to the last. Mech's give a comparable vape for the first 4 draws, then it's all downhill from there, each vape weaker than the one before. Blech!
VV all the way, and never looking back.

IPV Mini II is my friend.

Nice. That v3 looks powerhouse. My transition from mech's was to the Sigelei 100+ box and I was immediately sold on vv, but wanted something smaller (out and about all day for work, and I never vape over 44 watts anyhow). I scored with the 70 watt IPV Mini 2. I can't put this thing down.

Mech mods or box mods.

Discuss....

The theory or the fact??

I moved up to mechs from Ego and fell in love. I hated dripping but finding a good tank was a struggle until I found Fasttech and could start trying huge numbers of tanks to find my perfect tank. I was able to vape all the failures forward as one man's trash is another s treasure.

But I noticed that while I was having the time of my life with mechs, all tubes, none of my smoker friends were very interested. They hated the shape and the perceived complication.

So I bought a box mod to get some friends to try. Now we were talking. At the smoking area at work in months of questions about vaping with my mech not one person bought one. None of my kids showed any interest. Within one week of bringing the hated box mod about only ONE person DIDN"T have a box mod. They were all sold. In that same week ALL my kids who smoke had box mods.

So now I'm the go to guy about box mods and I hate them but I gotta keep using it so I can learn to answer the question.

And frankly using a VW box like a mech doesn't amount to much except better battery life so I start playing with the buttons............

Wait, what?? Now I'm into boxes. So I push the one as far as it can go and I wonder whats on the other side?? Vapemail!!! Now this is what I was after, until I pushed that one. Vapemail!!!...................

Then one day it hits me. I'm a vaper. I'm not a smoker hiding from cigarettes. I AM A VAPER!!!

And I don't hate the boxes I love them. Where did this come from??

I have 100w now so I'm good for the time being. As long as that SX Mini quits looking sooooooooooooo good.

I still use mechs at home. Using one now in fact. Bottom fire ONLY.

Its funny because Boxes were kinda the first modded thing they were always there but just did not seem to appeal to alot of people. Now its the preferred device. Just a couple of years ago people wanted 18350 and 500 mods.
I wonder what the next fad will be?

So what would we classify the IPV miny 2 and SX type of mods as? Its not really a box for sure not a tube. BTW even this form factor is not original I have a little mod that has a lipo battery in it that has the same form basically as the IPV Mini 2 and the original Opus is kinda like in the same category.
