on all vape related equipment?

I've spent this month approx £180. Not sure if I'm proud of it but I'll sure enjoy it.

If I were to diy that total could be below £45

I spend about $15 a month on ejuice.

Then every month i get a mod or an Atty

This month i got a Bachelor Nano $31.

March i got my second Mini Volt. $27.95

I've been collecting vape toys for almost 6 years now. Earlier today I finished an inventory of all the vaping stuff that I own. Yeah, there's a lot of it!

My only NEEDS are the occasional purchase of batteries, pg/vg, flavoring, or a new battery charger and even those purchases aren't all needed every year. $60/yr covers those cost.

My inventory revealed a handful of things that while I don't NEED them and would probably be ok without ever buying them I'd feel better about my "Forever Stash" if they were added so I've allocated $75 for those additions this year.

An occasional new vaping toy, although not needed, is still fun ;) Fortunately new stuff rarely interest me these days so my yearly budget, should I decide to spend it, includes $100 just for fun :)

I think most vapors when first starting out do have a tendency to be fascinated with this stuff and do spend a considerable amount trying to find what they like and what works.

Most go through the building your own coils phase and try various wicking's and just end up doing a lot of experimentation.

You eventually get to a point where the fascination phase wears off and the whole excitement factor isn't really there anymore .

When you reach this point you may replenish coil heads every now and then and if you are into the DIY stuff you will be buying different flavorings the most but monthly costs will be considerably lower then when starting out.

    Oh these threads are fun....
    • Wire - a few replenish and a few new sizes to play with
    • Wick - ditto here (3mm rope is popular in my builds)
    • RBA heads never seem to have enough of these
    • Tanks - I kinda went overboard on tanks this month (6) all different models and types
    • No batteries or mods this month.
I have enough nicotine in the freezer to last ~10yrs and my initial purchase of 40oz VG is ~1/4 left after 10mo's. I tell myself that as long as I spend less than I was spending on smoking I'm ok but frankly it is difficult to spend $200 a month on vaping when you wind your own coils and mix your own juice.

In what I feel is the ultimate of sillyness, some of the tank purchases were to match size/color of specific mods.

Ahh that is what was missing with smoking. No color coordination capability.

This month I have spent less than $300 on 3 new mods and a new tank and some new RDA's, batteries, wire and some flavors for DIY. Last month I only spent about $50 on another mod and the month before I spent $150 on 2 new mods and tanks for myself and my brother. Now that my hardware is all updated I will only spend about $30 a month the next few months for DIY. Still so much less than I spent on cigarettes and lighters over the years.:thumb:
Of course now that I have my new IPV5 I may need to get the SX PURE Tank... darn Shinyitus:oops:
And I am taking a trip end of May so I will need some factory coils to take along, so I may end up spending $100 in May but nothing in June and probably the rest of the year will just need my DIY ingredients

I'm with you on this. I spend about $3 a month to make my own flavored juice and have a good collection of tanks and mods so I might spend another $1 a month on kenthal wire and wicks. a whole lot cheaper than smoking.less than the cost of 2 ounces (2 day supply) of pipe tobacco :)

I figure I spend about the same amount in a month of vaping as I spent in a single day of smoking. I smoked a pack and a half a day, and at $6.50 per pack that works out to $9.75 per day smoking vs, about the same amount per month vaping. As long as you can avoid the "shinyitis" and DIY your juices then vaping costs almost nothing on a monthly basis.

And it should be noted that I broke my annual expenses down by month. I usually go 6 months or more without buying anything at all. I haven't bought DYI juice supplies in about a year now, and I've only bought 15 prefab coils in the past year.

I'm also not including my wife who only uses 1 coil about once every 2 months and uses the same DYI supplies as I do. She hasn't bought a new mod or tank in 2 years and she's only bought 2 batteries in the past year. Both combined we still spend less than $12 per month compared to the nearly $495 per month we spent on smoking. We're saving enough money vaping to pay for a brand new good car including fuel and insurance. In fact we've saved enough to basically pay for my 2012 Mustang, including the mods I've added to it. (Supercharger, tuned, suspension, rims, drive shaft, exhaust, and 1300W sound system)
