Over the years I've used Cigarettes, Chew, and most recently Nicotine Pouches and Cheap Cigars.
I'm back to vaping a part of it is to save $$$

If you are a heavy nicotine user on any of these Nic Vehicles you'll spend at least $80.00 - $180.00 per month.
Trust me if you do the math that's what it comes out to for a heavy Nic User

On the other hand.
Whether DIY or using Store bought juices vaping is more economical if you are buying
your Vape Stuff online from the right vendors.

My calculations are with a High Nic Salt Juice. And a basic setup.
Sure you can spend $100s but 12Watt vaping High Nic Salt Juice is arguably as pleasurable
as blowing huge clouds of 3-6mg Juice. I've done both.

DIY Costs
$8.00 Per Month - Juice
I figured out that at 2-3 ml a day and $4.00 per 30ml high estimate
$7.50 Per Month - Atty or Coils
New atty every 10 days
$2.50 Per month-Vaping Device an inexpensive Vaping Device for $25.00 lasting at least 1 year,
You'll spend around $20.00 to $30.00 per month.
Your mileage may vary.

Even with buying store bought Juices
$30.00 Per Month for 60ml of 50mg Salt Juice
$7.50 Per Month New atty every 10 days
$2.50 Per month an inexpensive Vaping Device for $25.00 lasting at least 1 year,
You'll spend $40.00-$50.00 Per Month

How much are you spending a month.?
Do you agree with me.?

In the last 9 years I would've spent more than 20 grand on cigarettes. So far vaping has cost me less than (but to be sorta transparent, kinda close to) $1000.. Needless to say so I'll say it again: I've saved a lot more though.

For a long time I had a display under my posts which showed how much I would have spent on cigs if I hadn't quit. Wish that was still around. It was an impressive number. Did once calculate how much I had spent on vaping, it was quite a lot but a tiny fraction of the cigarette number.

OP was right about the relative costs.

I should mention my vaping setup and where I'm buying to meet the monthly cost estimate. Yes, I'm very underpowered for you Cloud Chasers but doing just fine.
Bought hardware discounted at VapeSourcing. Nicotine Base bought at NicBase(They use levulinic acid for buffer). Flavorings Cooks Vanilla

Geekvape Aegis AP2 (For Review Click Here
    1.2 Ohm Coil
    Diy Salt Juice
    50mg 100% VG Liquid
    around 15% Vodka and Flavorings
Favorite flavoring is Peppermint from Cooks Vanilla.

If you click on my quit banner, it has the option to put the money saved number at the bottom. I opted not to have that on my banner.

My vape expenses (to date) are exactly 32% of what we would have spent on cigs over the same period. To get that high though, it took:

    1. Buying (and selling) a RIDICULOUS amount of "stuff"
    2. Building a lifetime supply for 2-4 people (whereas I'd be spending more today on cigs, if still smoking)
    3. ECF

With a tiny bit of effort & attention, that 32% could have easily been well less than 10%. I justified every expenditure in my head ("We are vapers!"). :vapor:

This thread made me redo my banner to find totals. Wowzers, saved over 35k and no way did I spend that much on vape stuff and I bought a lot. Even if I had spent as much as smoking, it was still a win win in my book.

I diy and rarely buy commercial juice. Mods and coils last me forever (almost) so I really have almost no monthly expenses now.

Sorry but I'm afraid that a simple "eye dropper" type dispenser delivering nicotine+optional flavor under the users tongue IS the least expensive nicotine delivery system.

...and about as much fun as kissin' your sister. ;)

What is the equivalent. for example would 1 drop of 50mg liquid = 3-4 puffs?

Oh IDK about that - you have to consider what the goal is - inexpensive nicotine delivery.

There are FAR more FUN and way way way more HEALTHY things that are FUN that don't involve nicotine.

Having 'fun' playing with ones health is not recommended.

It was a joke. On a vape forum. They seemed to go well together at the time.

    Apparently not though.

Sometimes you need your nic and you want to truly stealth it. Example was
on an airplane for 4 hours on Tuesday.
Taking some drops under the tongue worked out well to stave off the craving.

I searched in the forum and found the drops to nic ratio.

I'm glad it worked out for you. 4 hours is quite a bit actually, I had to go sans totale for almost 5 whole days and nights! That first day I was real grateful for the plentitude of coffee.
