Nothing ..... unless I want to ;)
Perfect answer. That really is what it comes down to.

I am free! Free from the health issues, free from the stigma, free of the smell, and free of the lack of control over my own money. Before vaping, I would buy cigarettes before I would buy food. I am no longer forced to make that decision every day.

I AM FREE! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Usually way less than $10 a month as I only need juice, wire, wick material and very occasionally a battery. This month I have had to buy in a large amount of nicotine as the rules in the UK will change due to the TPD. I have also bought three more of my favourite atty, again because I don't know if I will be able to purchase them for much longer. Even with the extra purchase's I have spent about six weeks worth of tobacco money. I will have enough nic to vape for the next 15 years! It's a shame we can't trust the people we elect to do the right thing. It's really aggravates me that some European Bureaucrats that I have had no say in electing end up forcing me to stock pile like this.

On average and long term including ALL purchases I would say around 50 bucks a month. Half is for hard-, half for software.
I DIY my juice (pretty cheap, but as I said I consider all costs and I have spent and spend much on flavourings that I do not like in the end) and buy premade coils for the most part. I have two functioning mod/atomizer combinations and thats it. No cupboard full of shiny tube mods.

I think considering this question you really have to think long term. Buying three Kayfuns and DIY 3 litres of juice at the beginning of the year does not mean, that your monthly costs during the year are near to zero...

I could spend 0 for about the next year (or until I need new batteries)....

But that's a lot different then what I actually spend. (Just don't tell my wife.)
Same here.I don't buy anything now because i "have" to,i have enough gear and diy stuff to get me through several years,but the money i spend each month now is because i "want" to haha.The way i look at it,if i don't spend some money sometimes,then that just puts more in my wife's budget,and we just can't have that haha.

One of the things that keeps me from feeling too much guilt is the money that I've spent on cigarettes in my life, with nothing to show for it.

Using an average cost of $2.50 a pack from 1983 - 2013 at 1.5 PPD:

$2.50/pack x 1.5PPD x 365.25 days/yr x 30 years = $41,090.63.

The few thousand I've spent on vaping pales by comparison.

About $100 a month on juice and $25 (avg) on coils, tanks,batteries etc. Still beats the $100 a week I would be spending now if I still smoked cigarettes. I was 2 packs a day.

Sounds just like me. I have all the mods and tanks I need, or maybe more if you ask my wife ;) I was spending around $250 on smokes, but now I average about $125 on juice and coils.
