I'm looking for the best option for testing a few drops at a time. I currently have a clearomizer setup (Atlantis) which obviously isn't ideal for testing small amounts to tune flavors. What works for you?
Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone.
I've got an RDA I think I'll try using first. If that becomes a pain in the ... I'll pick up some of the bridgeless 510's. Looks like they're either really popular or fading out because many places are out of stock (at least the inexpensive ones are).
I can't be the only one that does this, but during those times when I am mixing heavily (like up to 10 bottles a night), I surely can't vape them all nor would I want to considering I would be maxed out on being able to taste after trying that many new liquids. What I do is simple, I taste my liquids. I actually taste them! I will try a drop or two on the back of my hand. Simple. Now, what's interesting is that I have yet to taste a liquid that way and have it be the reverse in the vape of how it actually tasted. If it tastes nasty, it'll vape/taste nasty, but when it tastes good, or at least not bad, I set those aside. You may be surprised at how much you can tell what is going on, right or wrong with a flavor when you actually taste it.
Disclaimer: this is more advisable with extremely low levels of nic or no nic at all.
p.s. I learned this technique (if you want to call it that), from a remarkable eliquid vendor. I brought him a liquid to try and that is what he did. He told me everything about the liquid from licking one drop on his hand. And he was right, but he never even vaped it (nor did he know what the eliquid was supposed to be). I couldn't believe that I had never even considered testing a liquid like that. Of course we always smell it, but tasting it? At that time I was still under the impression that if you got eliquid on your hand or in your mouth, in any amount, you should run and wash it off or out.
p.p.s. In respect to vaping the DIY mixes though, I use whatever is handy that doesn't require filling up a tank. Only drip mode for testing.
Glad to know I'm not the only one!
