So on the way to work this morning I am rattlilng all about ecigs to hubby. He doesn't smoke but he looked at me a little strangly when I was talking about my 510 PV's and how I always have to charge them too often, the juice samples that some vendors throw in when you purchase something, my twist with a VV that I am waiting on, how I prefer cartomizers over the atomizer and cartridge, wondering if I will ever need or want a tank, and glad that I have new cartos on the way with a double coil for my new twist. Glad he didn't catch on much and ask for my debit card!!

hahahahahahaha

For months...while I was vaping full time and hubby was still prevaricating and mostly smoking...I'd be rattling on about various things...DCTs, cartomizers, atomizers, mAh, ohm, volts, amps, drip tips, condoms (!!), ".... plugs", clearomizers, dual coils, single coils, 510, 808, etc. and I'd get the "deer in the headlight" look from him. He finally crossed over to the Vape Side in June, and now it sort of startles me when he starts spouting off the same terms back to me. He's learned my secret language!! Aaarrrrghhhh!!!

It's funny, my brother actually got me into vaping. He's been vaping well over a year now, maybe 2. I have surpassed what he's using. (I finally got him off of the ego-t tank.) He is a sound engineer and would always talk work to me. I never knew what he was talking about and would ask him to slow down. Had him over for dinner the other night. I was showing him all my new toys, and talking ohms, vv, tanks, ect. He sat back and had a grin on his face and said. "I think this is the first time you talked technical to me." We both started laughing.. Lol..Just had to share..

Hey Tracey! Well..the answer to that is yes and no. We both like the X2 with Elite cartomizers. We both like Go-Gos, too. But lately have moved to the eGo T Mod. I have a Smok Telescope mod, and love it, but he thinks it's too heavy and he doesn't like the bottom button. We both like eGo Mega cartomizers...but I like 2ohm and he likes the 1.7ohm. Neither of us are into clearomizers or tanks with wicks...but while I use "DCT" tanks...or carto tanks...he does not. Neither of us are big fans of dual coils, but he tolerates them better than I do. He'll even use the clear plastic ones. I won't. (Been there, done that). We both prefer flat drip tips...metal (but we like the plastic flat tips on the EMSCCs too). We both hate round rubber tips. He vapes tobacco flavor...SI Country (or Cowboy..whatever it is it's being called this week), and MVS Flue Cured. I am strictly menthol and DIY my own. He vapes 18mg. I have worked down from there and am now on 4mg.

We like some things the same...but do have our differences! :) We both heartily agree that we like using the mods where we can use 18650 batteries with at least 1800 mAh (2000 or 2200 is even better!)....charging stuff all the time gets old fast! We also like juice delivery systems that hold at least 2ml. I vape a LOT. He's much more moderate.

My BF vapes now. All it took was for him to try an eGo batt with an LR 510 atomizer. Seriously. I let him sample a ton of premix I had laying around and he fell in love with Wyatt Earp.

He's still using the eGo battery with LR atomizer and the exact same juice.

Meanwhile, I have box mods, bottom feeders, 306 atties, special drip tips.. And a VV device and tanks on the way.

He'll try a new atty or carto I bring home.. Or sample a DIY juice I make. But he shows no interest in changing anything that he does. It amuses me a little. :p

But he does gawk at the price tags.. I don't usually tell him outright what I spend on PVs. When he heard my Reo was over $100, he was in a little shock. Telling him about the cost of the ProVari should be interesting. Maybe I'll leave that at "over $100" too.

Might be healthier for him if you leave it at "Just a tad over $100".

Personally, I gawk at what I used to spend on analogs. Seriously! If I could get the money back for the 40 years I smoked, I could have paid my house off, or be driving a Mercedes.

Howdy folks,

I don't know anyone else who Vapes, except you guys. I've tried to talk to my wife, but that deer in the headlight thing hits. I always finish with " and I'm not smoking cigarettes." That's when she lights up and says, that's great and good..or something along those lines. She also has very little idea what I spend on stuff. Not sure what she'd think if she knew.

That's how I justify buying new, shiny PVs. I spent about $190/month on cigarettes. $2100-2300/year. And that was when I made a LOT less money. I try not to freak out over the cost. In the long run, it costs much, much less to vape.

With a Reo and ProVari, making my own liquids and rebuilding atomizers, I could vape for pennies a day. Stock on wick and coil supplies.and replace my batteries every so often. Cheapppp.

My wife isnt a smoker or a vaper either, so when I talk about it, she listens, but kinda glasses over and gets the "smlie and nod" thing going on, and she DOES know how expensive it is, usually I get a "we cant afford it" if she detects a keyword that hints I may want to purchase something. I use the "better to ask forgiveness than permission" method now, she gets mad for a little bit then our 5yr old gets into trouble and she forgets  :vapor:

I really do not like the tobacco flavors, especially not the menthol tobaccos! I am like you, pretty much strictly menthol.....that is cool you DIY your own...maybe I'll get that way some day! I've been vaping since August or so and I'm pretty impressed with everything except that I keep wanting more...........I have dual coils coming this week so I'll try that out, I also will probably not be a tank gal. Good for you for cutting your nicotine down! I am still ordering 24 and 18 mg......maybe that will come also! Good to hear your story, love to know your ingredients for your menthol! For now I use Pink Spot menthol or backwoods menthol and drop in vaporgods menthol. It's pretty darn good. I've been a menthol smoker for more years than I want to admit....but I'll not smoke much else!!

I've been a menthol consumer longer than there's been dirt, Tracey! lol! I'm real picky about my menthol. And do NOT like a "warm vape". I figure menthol is supposed to taste COOL...not warm or hot! :) That is one of the big reasons I don't like dual coils. Hope they work out for you! I also don't use high voltage stuff. Bought some VV batteries (LT, Twist, kGo VV) and hardly touch them now. We live and learn, right? Never tried the menthols you mentioned. I found a couple I really liked early on (last Fall) and just stuck with them until I started making my own. I use 85 PG/15 VG 4mg. nic, The flavors I use are menthol, koolada and a pinch of peppermint. DIY is fun, and certainly has saved us some money!! Big time!!
