obama wont help, obama made a deal with big pharma for advertising money to get his healthcare bill passed.

Okay, but don't you think someone should tell him, "Umm, Mr. President.. ..guess how many lives you can save with the stroke of a pen getting e-cigs in the mainstream!" That's REAL healthcare (Health Caring?)

Good link v1john ....It says the president reads 10 letters a day that are sent in by americans..theres also a form that organiations can fill out to contact the president...Maybe something CASAA could use?

Yes, the link I provided is for individuals to send the White House their message. (They do also have a link for organizations like CASAA, thank you for pointing that out.)

Everyone please take a short moment to email the White House your request for support of, or need for the advancement of electronic cigarettes, or to inform them that we need the federal level of protection that the deadly monoxide analogs have, or whatever questions you have.

Thank you and have a nice day :).

Ok, if Obama does not oppose the scientific advancement of electronic cigarettes,
he really needs to do something about his FDA.

Obama appointed Margaret Hamburg as chief of the FDA:

Hamburg, pictured above, is one of the 10 we are petitioning. If you have already printed/signed/mailed the hardcopy petitions, you may have noticed that Hamburg is one of them. Obama's FDA, via Hamburg, is not ceasing their efforts to ban electronic cigarettes thus far.

I really think people should let the White House know as well how dissatisfied we are getting with what the FDA is doing, and time is running out. I hope we do not wait until the last minute, or until it is too late.

The FDA is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services. And within the FDA, there are also various centers and offices. I'm not sure which center or department within the FDA is actually involved with ecigs, but I think we need to write those centers as well. Here at the following link is a chart displaying the FDA's structure, as well as names. I think it is current as of late last year, but others can correct it as needed. This is a PDF file, and once you open it you can zoom in and read more details: http://www.fda.gov/downloads/AboutFDA/CentersOffices/OrganizationCharts/UCM210457.pdf

The New York TImes today mentioned a demoralized staff at the FDA, back when she was appointed, and I'm curious as to what that means, and if perhaps writeing every staff member working with ecigs would be potentially beneficial:
article found: Margaret A. Hamburg News - The New York Times

An excerpt from the New York Times article link above:
An unusual group of internal whistle-blowers has claimed that the agency's oversight of medical devices is deeply flawed.
Each and every flaw in the FDA that anyone can point out and bring to the public's attention would be very good for everyone, including the FDA, if it can run better and without corruption. Help the FDA's internal whistle-blowers, put their whistles on a microphone! Write them a letter too. Help find more whistleblowers at the FDA. Blow your whistle about the FDA and contact the White House, time is running out.

Take care--if you read Godshall,he tells you the person at the FDA most responsible for the war on e-cigs. Obama appointee,Deputy Commissioner of FDA Sharfstein,is opposed to harm reduction products. He was a Waxman staffer which means,in my opinion, it will be his way or the highway. I truly believe it will only be some legal miracle that will save this product unless we just have to keep fighting and hopefully educate enough people. The President is not going to touch this issue--too politically incorrect.

Thanks. If you happen to be able to link to further reading, it would be nice too. I'm not too concerned about being politically correct, the lives of smokers and vapers now and in the future are at stake. There is total political failure by the measure of the stakes. The objective is not necessarily for the president to touch anything either, the objective is to communicate to everyone in government and all groups in the opposition. Avoiding sending one letter or email to the White House does not conserve anything meaningful to go out of my way NOT to communicate.

Knowing how Obama feels about electronic cigarettes and the utmost importance they have in the lives of vapers and the next generations is of extreme importance. If Obama does not feel vapers have the right to use the reduced harm electronic cigarettes, I will support those who have wanted (or will want) to impeach him for whatever reason. I do recall many people expressing an interest to impeach him during other issues, but I did not support the idea. Now there is a remarkable and distinct reason of grave importance when lives of people are at stake, and it is important for quite a few people to know precisely who in government opposes the right for vapers to use the less harmful electronic alternative.
