My bad ... forgot you mentioned you lost the original.

You can always try a spring out of a flashlight or even hard wire the connection using wire to see if somehow it is indeed a power connection issue.

I actually did do something similar to that. A mod that is waaaaay way too strong for me, and unsafe to sell, I pulled that spring out. I tried it, and the device still powered up. I just have to woman up and contact the vendor. Just scared I'm gonna get screwed over :/


Thank you for trying so hard though. It may very well be a short in the device. I hope the vendor will take the device and see for themselves if a correct spring fixes the issue, but then there is still the issue of a VAMO with a slightly toasty spring.
