Heh, you guys are some interesting folks...

I've gotten some interesting PM's over my username, but it's not as interesting as it looks.

This has been my username since at least 2003. How did I come up with it? Don't remember honestly.

But the latter part of it wound up being oddly prophetic, as I haven't been able to set down roots anywhere for years. I've lived on 3 continents, in 7 countries, and moved 40-ish times in the last 3 and a half years. I still move at least every 4 months, even if I'm moving within the same city. I moved 7 or 8 times within the city of Wellington, NZ.

I've already moved 3 times just since I've been in Tucson. Going to try to stay in this apartment for a while though. Wish me luck.

mine is one of the thousands of nicknames i've endured over the years from being called duncan!

I hated duncan donuts, and donkey, and slam dunk, and spunky dunky, but i didnt mind this one because it was at least original and made me smile!

Well, you coulda been named Jack...think of all the fun nicknames adolescent boys come up with for THAT name. ;)

LastoftheBreed has been my handle since my early IRC days in the 90's.

Double meanings involved.

1. I'm a reg'd member of the Chiricaua Apache tribe, but my children are not eligible (future children at the time I chose the nick), thus I was the "last" of that part of my family's line.

2. Many of my opinions on social/political/theological matters are, to put it mildly, better suited to a couple centuries back. My heros are Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Payne, Theodore Roosevelt, and George S. Patton if that gives any clues toward some of my attitudes. :)
