I was looking for a user name that had not already been taken, and wasn't a variation of the name I wanted (like a syllable or two dropped, and a string of numbers added to it)... I was about ready to scream in frustration. I looked up on the wall at a sci fi poster I had... It said, "in space, no one can hear you scream"... I said, "in cyberspace, too"... and that is where mutescream came from.

Ah -- the catchphrase for the movie alien. I'm a huge fan of the alien saga ... and almost all other sci-fi.

I see people explaining their avatars, too, so I should explain mine. Well, you see, I was 50/50 on whether I should use a photo of myself...

Nico from neko which is Japanese for 'cat'.
Cat being another way to say 'dude' or 'guy'

Roshi is a Zen master who has reached enlightenment :)

I am the Zen dude.

It was a name I took for myself when I needed a user name for modding video games.
It originally comes from a children's book called '3 Samurai Cats' that I read to my daughter when she was little.
The character 'nekoroshi' was an old beat up one tooth one claw cat that ended up succeeding where others had failed before him because he showed patience, and waiting until the most opportune moment to make is move.
I could relate with that character.
Even my friends call me 'Nico' instead of my given name even outside of the net.

Google 'nicoroshi' if you have any interest in who I am or what I have been doing. :)
I have used it everywhere online since
