Mine's easy. I used to be a verified vendor here on these forums with my own electronic cigarette website called Zap Electronic Cigarettes.
This was in 2009 and the FDA illegally seized my last shipment of 15k in merchandise, then destroyed it and sent me the bill. This was later ruled to be overstepping their authority by Judge Leon in New York in a suit brought on by Njoy ( I believe) but was handled on a case by case basis instead of a class action.
Lacking the funds to hire an overpriced attorney In New York City and having all of my cash tied up in the destroyed merchandise I had no choice but to go out of business. Several other vendors were affected the same way with the same results so in the end the FDA accomplished part of what they set out to do.
I think this story bears repeating so newer members will better understand what weve been up against for the last 5 years and to help illustrate the FDA's intentions in regards to
vaping.
I got out lucky....all I lost was my initial investment of 5k and the time and effort it took to triple the cash, some vendors lost WAY more than that....to the tune of 250k dollars.
The moral of this story is that the FDA is NOT your friend and never has been.
