According to this article, the FDA is going to make big tobacco fess up to the ingredients in their cigarettes. I believe that most of this info has been readily available for quite some time, and can be easily obtained through testing just as they found out what was in the vapor of the ecig.

Being the eternal optimist, and in light of the current court ruling, I only hope they are seeking this information as a way to support their waning interest in banning the 'dangerous ecig' and save face. Do I hope that once the numbers come out that the FDA releases a statement along the lines of:

"We have decided not to pursue our efforts to ban electronic cigarettes as they do seem to be a viable alternative to smoking combustible tobacco. Upon review of the ingredients in major brands, we find that this device may actually be a MUCH safer alternative to combustible tobacco."

OK, so I am a dreamer;) To do anything else would be disingenous to say the least.

Sorry to disappoint, but this is simply one of the requirements of the new tobacco legislation.

LOL yes this I understand, however, with the coverage of the ecig in the news ans the recent defeat, it seems that now that the FDA will have the authority to regulate the ecvig as an alternate tobacco product, instead of an outright ban, it is imperative that they release the comparison.

This may be wishful thinking on my part but wiht the big to-do they made of the one ingredient they found in an ecig, it seems this would only be a logical course.
