If you recently bought a REO it comes with the sub-ohm kit already. The kit sold on the REOSMODS website is for the older REO's that have the older spring and positive contact.

Your recently purchased REO will handle .4/.5 ohm coils all day and be ready to dance the night away. Congratulations on your new REO

There were plenty threads and posts with people doing sub-ohm and trying fixes.

Robert responded to the request for a contact and spring that would lessen voltage drop in the REO's.

The term "sub-ohm kit" was used by those interested during development of the new contact and spring.

Robert replaced the parts of the rebuild kits with the new parts. He also installed the new parts on all REO's in stock.

Nowhere on Reosmods are the new parts called sub-ohm.

Robert simply states:
These contacts are made of beryllium copper and there gold plated.

The kit has a high heat push button

It is not implied that they are for sub-ohm use.
