What gauge of wire is best for coiling?

I originally told myself that I had no desire to do any building, but it would be so much cheaper to do my own coils. After watching several videos, I think even I could do it for my Kanger Protank and Evod, rather Han buy new heads. The only thing I am not seeing on the videos is the gauge of wire. They mention wick size, but never wire gauge. I went to buy some and see several gauges available. Any help for this newbie would be appreciated. Thanks

The Kanger heads are a snap to rebuild. Im new still and knock one out in a minute or two. Im using 32 guage kanthal which was suggested to me here by the more experienced on the site. I have seen some post also saying 30 guage is ok. Just youtube it and you'll see a bunch of good vids on it.

I do my PT2's with 30ga, 9 wraps on a 16ga needle, 1.8 ohm micro coil. Lots of vids on YouTube and threads here on ECF.

For Kanger heads I have used 30 and 32ga...both are fine. And yeah....Youtube is loaded with good how-to-do videos on this. Enjoy!

I started out with 32ga, then found that 30ga gave me better performance. Now, I twist my 32ga and its even better.

I use 30g, 8 wraps, gives me about 2.2ohms resistance.

32 G works very nice,if you check amazon youll find a wealth of diy vape vendors and can get 100' of the stuff at a pretty reasonable rate

I use 30g Kanthal.
works good.
32g works good also.

I think the 32g heats up faster. It takes a couple more wraps to make a 1.5 to 1.8 ohm coil compared to the 30g.

Either work fine for my Kanger recoils
