Last fall I was full swing into the nursing program at my school and that previous summer I had watched someone die of lung cancer and I knew that I had to quit smoking. I saw a paparazzi picture of one of my favorite actresses Katherine Heigl smoking an electronic cigarette and I had read of her struggles with quitting smoking and I decided to check out E-Cigs. I went to the local smoke shop and they had these Green? E-Cigs and then I went to this local novelty store that also sold some variants of E-Cigs and kicked some tires around (didn't try them there). Soon after this gas station I stop at occasionally had some disposable type of E-Cig so I bought one for $15 (I know...really pricey)...after tooting on that for a night I knew that I could totally like E-Cigs. SO I googled around and ended up on ECF where I registered and asked all types of questions from the great members here and eventually decided the best bet to start out with would be a Joye 510 kit. I bought my kit and was amazed how much more I preferred vaping to smoking. I still suffered withdrawal symptoms for a few months but they went away. A year later I am still vaping...I did later upgrade to an eGo and now I am toying with the idea of upgrading from that too.

I was helping a friend of mine move out of state, due to some tickets her d/l wasn't valid so I said I would be willing to drive the U-Haul and take a bus back. Getting gas at a truck stop I saw a Mistic e-cig and picked it up, though I would use it on the bus trip back. I didn't start using it till after I was already for a week or so.

I was going back and forth with it and smoking for a week or so and wanted to look into them. I Googled e-cig and wound up here. Saw there were better units that could be refilled with juice. Big choice for me was trying to save a few bucks over smoking cigs. Health beenies are a plus. While we might not be able to claim it is more healthy than smoking (till more research is done) at least the placebo effect has my body feeling healthier than I have been while smoking.

Last time I had a cig it tasted so rank to me I haven't gone back. With the eGo-t it's been even better than with the cheapy kit I started with.

Folks here helped out a lot by steering me in the right direction on my upgrade.... But still for a gas station starter kit I liked it. Think if I would have gone with the Blu first I would have turned my back on vaping.

Friend of mine on FB has started calling me a serial vapist cause of my talk about the juice flavors.

I never bought a kit from a mall kiosk. I just figured that "If it seems too good to be true, it probably IS." Between that and the fact that I never knew anyone who quit smoking using one, I thought it was all just a scam.

Then my brother decided to do the research. I should have done it myself a long time ago. But, between all the information AND THE MISINFORMATION, it was just too overwhelming for me. My brain shuts down at a certain point.

So, I finally tried it. And, after 2 days of working the bugs out, no more cigarettes!
