And ifta
And freight insurance
And truck insurance
And liability, death and dismemberment
And tires
And maintenance
And fuel
And tolls

Fuel can be $400 - $600 a day alone

Tires can set you back $6,000

A $6 toll can cost a truck upwards of $50. The George Washington bridge is $100 to cross.

And fines for trucks can start at $1,500 in Cali.

A simple parking ticket (where a car wouldn't even get one) is going to run you $500. And we can't park nearly anywhere...

And you have to be really careful of those low-hanging wires, or take out some poor housewife's cable. :D I wish that guy last week had thought about that, before cruising down our 25mph residential street going about 40mph.

I actually think that's where I fall in. My builds are usually in the .7-1.0 ohm range I occasionally use a 1.2-1.6 ohm, and occasionally use a .3-.4 ohm. But %90 of the time I am in the .7-1.0 ohm range. Looking at the setups I have filled, and using while typing this, I have a 1.1 ohm running at 19 watts on my Vamo, and a rebuilt Subtank head running at .77 ohms running at 23 watts on my Cloupor Mini. I typed this before checking. It's not quite tootie puffer, not a cloud chasing setup, but a nice medium.

As far as my opinions on the Provari... Since I can remember, they were a 15 watt device. When they first came out, that was a good number, and one that was sought after. It was the regulated version of a cloud machine. back then, it was either a 15 watt device, or a mechanical. Since then, I've seen Evolv come out with their DNA 20, then the DNA 30.... Provari kept at 15w. Then Yihi started coming in the market, and they produced a 30w... eventually going all the way up to 200W... and Provari still was at 15 watt. I think Provari "rested on their laurels" throughout this whole situation, and it has decided to bite them in the long run. Sigeli has come out with rock solid devices in the 100w box mods, and have made a reputation for producing a top notch device. Devices in the 15w range have gotten even cheaper, and to the point where they've become disposable to a point... they break, buy another one... and you'll still end up coming out cheaper. It's become moreso with the Istick products.

I think they need to up their game. They may produce a high quality item, and have high quality customer service, but money is what talks, and I think they're loosing more of the market share. I think recently, they've moved from one of the premier vapes, to a niche in the vape industry... which is a niche in itself. I've seen more people vaping MVPs than I have Provari's. My vape range is over 15w, so to me, a Provari isn't even thought of when I think of getting a new device. It's over priced and under powered. The P3... their latest.. can barely handle a subtank, and NOT handle anything below .5 ohms. That rules out some of the newer tanks that are coming out.

For tootie puffers, the form factor isn't that good... no EGO threads. It's a big sized mod for such small vapor nowdays. My Vamo V3 is still working.. I passed it along to someone else. I replaced it with a Vamo V7... 40 watt. Stainless steel, multiple battery size, tube format, stainless steel threads and spring loaded center pin, and 1/5th the price. The other $160 will go towards my son: Cubscout dues, uniform, Tent, cots, fishing license, and memories that will last me for the rest of my life and his. It's a no brainer for me.
While I disagree (MY opinion) with most of what you are saying, I can appreciate your post because you stated it is your opinion and you are not talking smack about us tootle puffers who believe the P3 is the perfect form factor FOR US. The P3 threads can't be beat in terms of durability. Most of don't care about subtanks. Like I previously stated, I use a Kabuki and my girlfriend uses a K4. I could go on but, what's the point?

Ok, I'll tell you a secret since Jackie is sleeping. Why do I really like my ProVari? I use a 18650 battery and I wish I had a dime for every girl out in the public that has asked about it and said, "That's a big one!" or "That's the biggest one I've ever seen!" I just smile and say, "I hear that all the time."

Yep.

If i don't net $1,000 on a bad week I'm out by the end of the month.

We put up with a lot of crap and have to keep everybody on the roads alive despite themselves.

It's a lot of responsibility for the measly pay.

No kidding, since my sister got a headset, she talks on her cell a lot to me while driving. I can't tell you how many times I've had to hold the phone away from my ear while she yells at someone on the highway...

As I previously stated, ladies love ProVari. Random ladies at the club are always approaching me to see if they can have a taste of mine...

Yeah, we go to a local Tony's on Friday's when we are out that way for all you can eat fish. There is a waitress in there and even if she's not waiting on us, she always comes over, sits down next to me and takes a puff to taste the flavor of the day. Pretty cool. Her name is Alex.

I entice them by playing guess my flavor by blowing mighty ProVari clouds at them, then they have to have a taste for themselves...

All right people, I should have been on the Xbox One 5 hours ago. Maybe I can squeeze a hour out of it before hitting the sack. Thanks for all the interesting conversation!

Later. Yeah, I've got to be up in 3 hours. I've been training at a new job on day shift, but wake up when I hear Sandra start to message me when she gets to work, 2AM our time...

I've always used a Provari because i like tube mods. I never feel comfortable with a box mod and i have tried most of them. The Provari works for me but i have never bought a new one (except when they went on sale in the UK last year) because they are way too expensive if you live outside the U.S.

Nearly all UK dealers are selling Provaris at discount now. It's a fact that when retailers start selling at discount then the stock isn't moving. ProVape should be concerned. I've just bought (an admittedly ex display) P3 for half price and i think it is an excellent device. Obviously the retailer doesn't have a lot of faith in a product that they are selling at below cost.
As a ProV user i feel that the writing is on the wall for ProVape unless they start diversifying and that makes me sad.

Oh, and as a real world observation...
Of all the newer vapers i have come across who use Chinese box mods the biggest factor in them choosing the box over a tube mod has been..... the built-in battery. Not the wattage, not the cost (so much), not the form factor. Just the convenience of plug and go.

You realize, I hope, that the built-in battery comes with a hefty price?

Basically when the battery reaches the end of its charge cycle, the mod is totally worthless.

Thats great news for the retailers and manufacturers.

Really bad news for smart consumers.

I understand that.. and I do believe they make a superior product. And yes, for the moment (things could change), they are good for tootie puffers... But, the point I was trying to make, is every ecig that's made that I can think of, Even a Snowolf 200w, can be throttled down to suit a tootie puffer's level. There's nothing the Provari offers to the table except their name and customer service. I can take my Taifun GTII off my Vamo, and put on a protank II... thinking... the Tootie puffer mod called the Provari won't fit my atomizer without an adapter. As far as thread quality goes... That remains to be seen. Most threads now are stainless steel. What it boils down to nowadays, is not the materials, or the features. The vaping culture moves very quickly, and the name brand gear has changed. It's as if Provari is like a BMW.. they're still trying to sell the same car since the 70's. Still a good car, still well made, still a luxury item... but the newer models offer luxuries that weren't out back then, and can still be well made. Yes, I will equate the Provari to "vintage".

Lol.. if you go by that... The Vamo V7 is taller. :)

It has been proven conclusively that the Vamo (and other cheap chinese mods as well) do not deliver a steady voltage like the Provari does.

They use pulse width modulation to arrive at an average, instead of delivering a nice flat line like the Provari does. This has been shown numerous times on an oscilloscope.

YOU might not be able to taste the difference but alot of us can.

So no, alot of those mods cant do what a Provari does at all.

I personally think the reason box mods are becoming more popular, is when you put the electronics beside the battery, it shortens the length, making it easier to pocket. My Cloupor mini takes an 18650, yet is shorter than a 30ml bottle of ejuice without the atomizer. My EGO is taller than the bottle, and the Nemesis is even taller than that. My vamo, which is considered one of the tallest 22mm tube mods, in 18650 mode and without an atomizer the same size as a Cloupor mini WITH an atomizer and stock drip tip. I think it's just about being more efficient space allocation.

Many box mods use 18650's, and most of the single battery mods have a built in charge port.

You said built-in batteries. My apologies for not understanding your meaning but when a lot us hear that we immediately think of something like the eleaf Istick or the MVP.

It sounds like some of the mods youre referring to actually have replaceable batteries.

Not the same thing.
