I'm super tight with a buck and a big part of being cheap is taking care of what I have. Which allows me to buy other nice things. People that think Provari's cost alot would cry themselves to sleep if they knew what some of my tools cost.

So I've never dropped a mod of anykind. provari's toughness will never be tested by me. Although I think its possible due to its shape. Tubes aren't very stable.

Do people dropping all these mods have cell phones?? I just got my wife and youngest daughter new iPhones 6's and with the tax they were 900 bucks each. I assume mod droppers all have to use pay as you go flip phones??

Never dropped an iProduct; my ProVari roll around the car during offensive driving maneuvers, take an occasional fall, get tossed in my day bag. Never a problem with them, although they are beat up. Mine are tools and like my tools, they get used- they aren't trailer queens...

Good heavens! What is it with so many people dropping mods, running over them, etc.? In 4 1/2 years of vaping, I don't recall ever dropping one.

I can trip over my shadow.

 This, exactly.

I worked all of 2014 at a vape shop in Cincinnati. All of the employees vaped a mechanical mod with sub ohm RDA's. I was the only one using a Provari and cartotank. I had at least a dozen regular customers who purchased a Provari and cartotank simply because they had tried and liked what I was using in the store, and we didn't even sell Provari's at my shop. Although the manager owned and liked Provari's, he told me the shop couldn't make a profit selling Provari's because of the markup that would be required.

I was the only employee who used and sold any cartotanks. Again, those that I converted from using clearomizers to cartotanks were happy with their purchase. However, cartotanks were a tough sale even for me because of the limited selection of tanks we carried and not selling tank tools. Management wasn't interested in carrying IBTanked cartotanks because they couldn't reach a profitable deal with OCD (IBTanked owner), and hadn't made enough profit selling cartotanks in the past. Management wouldn't stock a $2 cartotank tool in store to help me make a cartotank sales. Prospective buyers asked how can you sell a product without the necessary tools?

Management made a commitment to push mechanical mods and rebuildables. It's what they could make the most profit on, and as I soon learned its all about the money.

Our customers fit into the two categories above: noobs and intermediate vapers looking to get a decent vape to stop smoking (ego's and low-powered regulated mods) who weren't interested in rebuilding, and the cloud chasing crowd. (The shop sponsored cloud chasing contests, too.) Management decided employees had to use in store what was sold in the store, so I had to stop using my Provari while at work and use a mech mod and rebuildable atomizer.
You're a better man than me. I have a "Pistol and Provari" rule. I don't go where both are not welcomed.

Definitely the shape. My too tall Vamo has gotten dropped/knocked over many times (still works after 2 years). The MVPs and iSticks are more stable and very rarely get knocked over.

Surprisingly, I have yet to break a cell phone. Somehow, I manage to hold on to them without dropping.

That's exactly why I forced myself to get used to metal driptips; they don't break when you drop your mod on the floor. :D Delrin's pretty tough too; my delrin knucklehead just popped apart, easy peasy to put it back together. Glass, jade, and acrylic will all break when hitting a tile floor; dunno about wood, but it might depend on the hardness of the wood, and if it has any weak points like a slender "neck".

I buy cheap drip tips from FT by the dozen. Every time one breaks, I'm happy the cheap tip took the impact instead of the tank.

I won't quote anyone here. But the VAMO is the reason I finally bought a provari! I had enough of replacing mods. Now, I'm a sucker for some high wattage fun, so I am still buying things. Because everything else breaks. Atlas 50 watt, broken. Sigelei 100 watt broken. Before provari, several lavatube clones, and that fatal VAMO purchase! All broken...
But, I'll always have those 2 reliable provari to back me up when all my others fail!

Its easier to have parrots than horses :D

And, yes, I can be superclutz. Neuropathy in my hands so can't feel things as well. Dropping a gallon of milk sure makes a mess :(

However, I haven't yet broken a mod or tank...despite running one over :)

Strangely enough, as klutzy as I am, I haven't broken any mods or tanks either, just driptips. :D But one of the things I love about my Achilles RDAs is that they're all-metal, nothing to break. :thumb:

Yeah the titanium is seriously awesome... so light, but no matter how often I have to use pliers to get the topcap off, it doesn't show any scratches. :)

I passed a half dozen 50 plus year old men using one of the newer sub ohm clearos on the highway today.

That's a common thing I notice lately. Across the entire continental US.

Your keen powers of observation, all while driving down the highway, are simply astounding. Across the continental USA you notice these trends too. All of this driving across the USA while observing carefully has clearly made you a vaping trends authority; I am duly impressed.

I went into a local vape shop next to my house and saw Provari P3's in the clearance case for $89.99. I asked what was up with that and they said they are going to stop carrying provape's stuff. IMO I think they were working on that board for the P3 so long that temp control came out and China stepped up their game to where the P3 became obsolete and they missed the boat. Everyone else that stuck with evolv boards survived the China awakening but man did they get crushed. Anyone else notice this?

Yea, I'm sure many people don't want to admit it, but I would be *extremely* surprised if Provari does even 80% of the business it did last year at this time. The vaping industry changes FAST, and they seem to have no desire to compete with the new things. Like Bad mentioned, they cater to a specific market, although I differ with Bad in his estimate of the ratio of that market compared to the 'enthusiasts'. That might have been the case a few years back, but now, the majority of new vapers coming in are already jumping into high watt and sub ohm tanks.
