First off don't nor have I ever owned a Provari, still want a zombie one though, lol. I do own a vaporshark rdna 30 and paid way too much for it but.... I love it.

I get the Provari thing just from owning a shark. It may not have TC, go above 30 watts or fire below .4 ohms (it rounds up so it will fire 4.1 above) but it is solid. It's heavy for the size but it works. I use it for subtank mini when out and drippers at home.

It's like others said not everyone cloud chases but even for some that do (me), I don't want nor do I feel the need to all the time. This is when the Provari shines. Is it expensive, yep but so is a shark (189 with a skin from Indy). I paid almost 50 more than from shark but didn't want to wait a month for a device to ship. Provari actually gets run over from shark at times.

I know quite a few people that bought a Provari because they didn't want to have to wait. These devices are like the authentic mechs. There are a certain type of people that just want what they want and to hell with the cost.

On a side note around here, when I see shops making huge discounts, sales are down. Usually the shop doesn't last much longer or they cut way back. Sometimes the owners have high hopes and order a lot of stuff but don't know their market. Then it's take a loss or break even on stuff that's been paid for so they can keep the lights on. Just wait, we're going to see a lot of this when the hammer does fall.

I had an Evic-VT for about a week, till I sold it because I really didn't care for it. Anything over 400F was far too hot for me. That's how I know my 8.5-9 watts is nowhere near 450F.

Andria

That mod is known for having a messed up ti TCR though. And yes, 350 is hot for ti in ni mode.

Based on a few of the comments, I have to ask.....is it possible, just possible, that there is a middle ground between using a Provari (or any other lower wattage device), and being a cloud chaser?

The modwhompers shall inherit the earth! ;)

Exactly! Just because someone wants more than 20W doesn't necessarily mean that person builds .15 ohm coils and vapes at 100+W. If there was a 40 or 50W Provari I would probably own one. 20W? Too limiting for how I like to vape. Also, you can own a mod capable of 100W and only vape it at 10W. Somehow that point escapes some people around here...

Sold my IPV 3 after one month but kept my rdna. I personally felt it was over kill and my bud wanted it more than me, lol. I do miss it sometimes though when I look at the old mutation laying in the box

I went into a local vape shop next to my house and saw Provari P3's in the clearance case for $89.99. I asked what was up with that and they said they are going to stop carrying provape's stuff. IMO I think they were working on that board for the P3 so long that temp control came out and China stepped up their game to where the P3 became obsolete and they missed the boat. Everyone else that stuck with evolv boards survived the China awakening but man did they get crushed. Anyone else notice this?

I think Provape is still around and here to stay, but they are not going to be as big as before, because a lot of vapers to demands more power and wants to go super sub ohm. And the fact that Provape caters to a specific market.
And Provape's products are very good, durable mods, great aftersales service and the product does what it says it does.
For me, modders and companies should follow Provapes Quality Control and Standards.

I personally think, that if Provape design make a MOD that has atleast 100watts and has the quality, features, safety and the Standard of the Provari, I believe they will dominate the industry again.

couldn't wait for the OP ... this is the only shop in Portland listed as a Provari reseller

Division Vapor

They look like the prime suspect ... I'm calling them in the morning
Ask if we can use that old dinosaur, called online ordering. What do they think we did when there were no vape shops????

The vaping demographic has changed big time in the past couple years. Vaping isn't just a smoking cessation anymore. It's all about power, clouds, subohming, box mods, etc.

Most people lookat a Provari and think it's boring, or overpriced. Nobody cares about reputations or reliability. People just want the cheapest, most powerful PV they can find.

The people that use vaping as an alternative to smoking, will appreciate a Provari much more than the Johnny come lately's.

Coolfire IV... 40w, and the hit-timer is 15 secs instead of 10secs. Also damn hardy, surviving flawlessly the 4ft violent encounter with my driveway. And not too pricey either, think they're still running roughly $35-ish.

I passed a half dozen 50 plus year old men using one of the newer sub ohm clearos on the highway today.

That's a common thing I notice lately. Across the entire continental US.

That's reality.

And I've seen exactly 1 provari anything that's not mine in the wild... ever... and damn have I looked...

I've seen 3 sigelei 150s in the same day... not counting 1 because it was in the hand of the passenger in a car where the driver had 1 also... so 3 separate sightings...

Just two examples.

This delusion that everyone who quits smoking wants a specific type of satisfaction is beyond laughable. Especially when opening ones eyes proves without a doubt quite the opposite.

Either way, the majority of newbies looking at getting into the vape world, want the cheapest, most efficient products they can find. You can tell a person all the pros and cons of everything out there, but it always comes down to dollars and cents in the end.

All about the money, baby. Nobody gives a crap about anything else.

Fact of life. Cheers.
