That and Elizabeth's story are pretty scary. You never know when it could be time to go and from such simple things like dental work.

However in both such extreme cases, you wouldn't be able to worry about smoking let alone vaping. I'll let you guys know I got a minor cold and sore throat. I could still vape, but chose not to in order to not further irritate my throat. I cloud have easily put up with the minor irritation and vape anyway, but I had no problem putting it down for a few days.

I'm at 6mg now and pretty sure I'm not addicted to vaping. I just enjoy it. Used to be a 15 cig a day smoker 7 months ago. Not 1 cig since.

Oh man. What a story. I better go brush my teeth.

Sadly this didn't start with just with a cavity. I cracked a tooth a while back due to eating hard candy and had a crown put on. The tooth still had a minor crack that nobody caught till a year later. This lead to the abscess that flared up once, but overall wasn't causing pain. My dentist just thought it be a good idea to resolve the issue before it got worse. Well... it got worse but not because it was left untreated.

And thank you everybody. I am slowly recovering more everyday. I am almost able to open my jaw wide enough to eat real food again and pain is almost gone, but still flares up once in a while.

Vaping and dry socket isn't an issue as long as you use something with a loose draw and don't inhale too hard. The e-liquids aren't causing any irritation to the socket at all (smoking use to).

The lesson here is... don't chew on hard candy and don't listen to your dentist if your not experiencing any problems. :p

Good to hear you're on the mend. I'm sure you were in no mood to breath, let alone vape. I just spent 4 nights in the hospital and vaped the whole time. Hope for a speedy recovery.

As for the lawyer thing: it's not malpractice, nothing to win since you're okay, and no lawyer would take this. I hate lawyers, but I hated law school even more. Focus on getting better, not litigation.

Hi

First of all, if something like that would happen to me, I would beat the crap out of the dentist with my heaviest MOD and then look for another doctor.

Second, I had one root canal done (Thats why I say I only have 31.5 teeths in my mouth lol) and the procedure didn't go that well... the extraction was ok but when they closed it with that cement like stuff, it leaked through one root into my jaw bone and although it was just a drop, the doctor was concerned enough to give me his cell number to call him at any hour day or night if I would experience any kind of reaction. He said he could perform a corrective surgery in no time if my body started to show signs of rejection.

Anyway, that night I woke up at 3 am in horrible pains... I thought I would die right there in bed and my wife would find my body in the morning (I'm kinda melodramatic sometimes, sorry :) ). Somehow, although the pain was horrific, I fell asleep (or pass out, don't know) and when I woke up... nothing... nada, niente... that was 9 years ago...

Even though the doctor was all nice and concerned and kinda honest about the whole thing, I never went back.

Oh well, gotta vape some more :)

Regards
Tony

Thank you and I agree. Unless I have some sort of permanent damage then it's not even worth my time to call a lawyer. That would be the only way, or if the surgeon tells me that the x-rays that were taken during the procedure indicate that something was definitely not done properly. I highly doubt one professional in working in the same area would implicate another doctor less then 1/2 mile away and probably refer clients to each other.
