Ok so long time member of the V4L family ive done my fare share of spreading the ecig word. Yesterday I though oh what the heck Ill order one of these fancy handle things cant be to hard right? So I read some stuff about them and hummm new cartos? Duel coil single ohm WHAT! I posted awhile back how lost this pass time is makin me feel but wow this stuff is Greek to me. Used to be a fresh charged batty a new carto and your set till the little light flashes. So I guess what Im askin is can someone please make a vaping for dummy's new style thread? please don't use ohm, mega anything, volts of how many coils the flux capacitor has . Just give it to me straight what carts do I need what batty is best how do I keep from blowing myself up what tastes best and makes lots of vapor please :D I know theres a better vape out there just cant see the forest through the trees. Thanks for reading :tumble:

Nice avatar!
It's actually really easy man...there are very few variables and they never change...as constant as gravity!
I'm sorry if this doesn't help, but I mean, if you hit "new posts" for like 2 hours, collectively or all at once, you'll pretty much have read everything you'll need to know.

Oh, and thank you for putting the "Campus PD" theme in my head...

Yeah I always liked the wow cart and long manual batty myself, not even sure what an eGo is and was joking about the Mega but I guess there's even one of those now LOL. I tryed the reading the thread thing and geezzzz my eyes just start to glaze over. I got the tank thing figured out I think ill be able to fill it then started reading the carto things and dual coil? Single coil 5 different ohm settings then there's the volt thing some kill your battys some make it taste burnt some make it taste better holy crap on a cracker! Am I vaping or building a space ship?

510 threading seems to be the norm now.So there's that. All this technology is, is you have a metal coil that receives current to heat and atomize your juice. This is all it EVER is...there are just variations. The ohm range is small. The many devices that power these atomizers is where it gets head-spinning, as there are so many great products made...If you are in it for the long haul, get a Variable Voltage device, if not, get an ego style...fixed at 3.7.
Like I said, there isn't that many variables when you actually look at this as a whole.Don't lose the war over one easily winnable battle.
And one thing is for certain, please try not to smoke any cigs...

Thanks yeah ive been vaping for geezz 5 yrs now used to just use them indoors and smoked outside last year I quit and only vape now. I guess it was easy staying out of all the mod things. But I read people saying all day vaping with the handle thing and thought man thats got to be better then a pocket full of battys and prefilled carts in my pockets. So I bought one then realized wait there's different types of battys and new cartos to learn AUUUUGGGG! LOL So I guess its time to learn all over again just though someone could make my task simple and say hey J.R. get this thing and that thing and life will be all better :D

bigjr, I know how you feel. It's a lot t first but maybe this will help.

The eGO battery is a bigger "stick" battery. It has 900mAh which is about 10-12 hours of vaping time. It is still unregulated, meaning, similar to your older VK batteries, over time, the hit will decrease as the battery is discharging.

The Mega cartos or any dual coil cartomizer provides a stronger throat hit and more vapor production. As far as ohm ratings: the lower the ohm-rating, the stronger the TH and more vapor. BUT that also means the shorter the battery life will be.

The single coil carts are similar to our prefilled cartomizers: Single coil 2.0ohm = WOW Vapor Cart. Single Coil 3.0ohm = Premium CoolCart.

I recommend using single coil cartos on variable voltage devices because at higher voltages, you can burn the dual coil cartomizers faster.

The V4L Handle is a great device. You can use tanks or prefilled cartomizers on it. It is a VV device so for your tanks, try the single coil 3.0ohm carts.

Think of a 3-way light bulb for a minute. The same elactricity is supplied. As you click through the lamp switch, the bulb gets brighter (and hotter). This is a visual example of resistance. The least light (heat) has the most resistance and vice versa. Now, this easily computes to choosing your atomiser resistance. The lower the resistance, the warmer the vapor. You can foil the resistance with higher voltage tho. The byproduct of resistance vs vlotage = wattage (or heat). This is why some or many will suggest variable voltage, because there is a narrow spectrum of resistance offered among atomizers.

The science of dual coils is a little more complex, but not as mind-boggling as you'd expect. I'll leave that for someone else to confuse you with. :)

If you're looking into the V4L Handle, we do not sell spare batteries, however I can PM you with details on where to get one. I think it's a good option. The V4L Handle lasted me 2 days at 4.5-5.0V of heavy vaping, on a single coil cart.

The tank cartomizers should last 3-5 fills, of the tank. That typically means 10-15mLs of liquid before you need to change them.

*NOTE*: Signs of a bad cart:

- Brown or black polyfill
- Leaks
- Burnt taste.

Also some juices take more of a toll on carts. Typically, darker juices.

Another vote for the ego with mega cartos! Love love love them! Think just like your regular batts and cartos but bigger, better, longer lasting! These are awesome! They easily last all day - and I find the cartos last at least 2 weeks. I don't clean them ever, I just keep refilling until they start hitting a little too hard (I don't like messing with them, so out they go the minute they don't hit just like I want them to! Sometimes it is 2 weeks, but I have gone a month with the same carto and it was still hitting good so you never know) The initial filling up of it is the hardest part, but once you get it down it is easy peasy. (I don't use syringes).
