Same here - Thin napped micro fibre cloths are a must - I have many - they Must be clean also. I frequently wipe my GG's with them. Very rare to polish - when I do - Flitz Liquid on the bodies - never on the engravings. Autosol Liquid on all contact points. Vaseline very lightly on all threads. My GG's are put in a 1 1/2" x 6" velour pouch, then they are put into a cigar case and carried this way. - No worries, UFS, Odys, Iatty fit in pouch and case just right. I am .... over the possibility of any rubbing from the leather - hence the reason for pouch first.

dspin is very very careful with his GGs. He treats them like any other valuable object. I like that.

Yes indeed I do Paulie. I just wipe them frequently. Need shiny at all times. These GG's mesmerize me when I look at them. You would think I would be over that by now but I'm not.

I don't think you ever "get over" it. The longer I use my GG the more I love it and the more .... I am about keeping it looking nice . . . if I get too much worse I'll wind up talking to it like Gollum with his ring

I'm mostly glad that the occasional playful digs hasn't swayed you to stop showing us how the art of perfection is actually realized.

That is beautiful. I've got to get a good pic. of my GGs after my stand from Opholik is here. He sent me some pics and it will be perfect - he actually cut the holes custom so that my gg buttons will have their own space.

Great picture, dspin. Everything looks so pristine.

I noticed there is a difference in the colour shading of the GG wings and engravings. Would that be a trick of the lighting or is it because they are different types of GG?

Yup,engravings in aluminium or brass or stainless gives diff. shades
