#1 GGT Storm will never be for sale as long as I live. My children will probably sell it after I am gone or in the nursing home.

I feel the same about my custom #8 Imeo built. That's why I wasn't joking when I said that when I go, it goes with me. The idea that it would be sold at a garage sale or the like makes me cringe, literally.

Not that I am so well off I couldn't use the money. These days, who couldn't? I guess it's just an old guy thing to say and mean that there are 4 or 5 material possesions I own that mean more to me than the money. And I have been offered some crazy money for it. I guess I thankfully have never been hungfry to the point I needed to sell.

Besides, money is like electricity or fuel - It's momentary and fleeting. My GG on the other hand, barring a nuclear blast, will be here long after anyone old enough to read this is long gone. ;)

Well the longer it's kept the more it will be worth, tell the kids to hang on to it.
One day it will be worth "a bloody fortune" as our British friends might say...

I'd like to see someone experienced in mastering "shiny" post a thread on best ways to keep GGs looking and performing well. May help new GG owners who have not owned one before avoid some of the condition issues that will come up without proper care.

It's probably around here somewhere but should include a list of safe products, how often to clean and lube threads, storage etc etc.

Dspin is a compliment. Your GGs set a standard for how these should be cared for.

If you are a gg owner you have to own microfiber cloths. I vape my ggs wrapped in the cloth and wrap them up when I'm not using them.

Id say I clean and lube once a week. I don't need to polish all that often since I just wipe them down a lot with the cloths. If I do polish I use "mothers mag polish", it works for me.

Cleaning of the button is maybe once a month if I feel performance going down.

Nothing is worth anything until it's sold.

That of course will result in an angry "OMG" thread.

She should save us the trouble and sell it to me at cost ;)

Same here - Thin napped micro fibre cloths are a must - I have many - they Must be clean also. I frequently wipe my GG's with them. Very rare to polish - when I do - Flitz Liquid on the bodies - never on the engravings. Autosol Liquid on all contact points. Vaseline very lightly on all threads. My GG's are put in a 1 1/2" x 6" velour pouch, then they are put into a cigar case and carried this way. - No worries, UFS, Odys, Iatty fit in pouch and case just right. I am .... over the possibility of any rubbing from the leather - hence the reason for pouch first.
