I was cleaning my eVod at work and lost the top wick. Now all I have is the wick inside the coil. I kinda said o'well and tried to vape it anyway. Well it gurgles and there is almost no vapor. So it was a bad idea... put my back up on and I will leave it till I get more wick or find somethin suitable. What would work as a wick, or is it just wick that would work? So I had a few thoughts and figured I would ask first being very new to vaping. Of course using common sence. But it got me thinking, I bet some people have done some crazy things to fix their devices. I can see this getting moved to the not advisable section, so u will put a disclaimer in advane... Do not try this at home

It was originally jury rig and then in WWII they started using jerry rig because of calling the germans "jerrys". As far as the original question about jury rigging things, back in the cartridge days when we were all trying to come up with better fillers I tried tampon innards and diaper filler. Both unused of course.

There was actually a third version that started somewhere in the 40's-60's but was "phased out" due to it's more ethnically offensive nature.

That said, if it keeps you off of analogs, in an absolute do or die situation, you could cut a piece of cotton from your shirt, roll it up and use that. Here in the South anything can usually be fixed with just duct tape and WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, or it leaks use duct tape. If it should move and doesn't use WD-40.

Yeah, almost mentioned that one but decided against it.

Have this somewhere as a redneck flowchart

And if it needs to be "heavy duty" use bailing wire. I am the resident "Jerry" at my work now. Once they got rid of the maintenance guy I made sure they got me a 55 gallon drum of WD.

Haven't ever tried using things for vaping that were not made for vaping (well except kanthal and cotton), but I do find myself looking at things and thinking ooo that would make a cool mod. Like... flashlights, vases, pens, tools. LOL

I swear I probably would make a mod if I had the tools and someone had made a YouTube tutorial heh heh. I am out of my gourd with vaping - it's like falling in love for the first time. You remember... when you and your honey kept right on going even though you were sore and everything hurt? Yeah... I gave myself a headache again tonight because I didn't want to stop hitting my RDA with its new 1.1 ohm micro coil.

By the way - cure for nic headache appears to be Haagen Dazs sea salt caramel gelato.

I was washing a PT2 and lost the top o-ring down the drain. I have plenty of other PT2s, but it was bothering me that this one was out of commission, so I bought an o-ring for a faucet from Ace, which is not only significantly more robust than the original, but is snug enough not to fall off when taking the tank apart.
