here are a few things you can do to rebuilding this thing. first the bottom positive contact ...to soft and don't make contact to 510 conector because it sucked in to much. just a little epoxy and wrap sewing thread around it to build it up ,I put a little vg in the opening for "mold release " very thin coating.then esembled it and let it protrude a very little bit in bottom . makes a nice and hard insulator. the next thing the tube cracked ! none of my pyrex tubes fitt...so cept looking at a 10 ml ciringe looked like it was to small ,but after cutting the flange of ...perfect tight fitt. the only thing it must be cut to perfect lengths and must be sqare . a little vg lube...perfect. the next thing the pos contact is to far from the wick .two washers will fix that but I went one step more .beveled two washers a little and used part of a founten pen spring . so much nicer then fiddling with screws. also use this in my aga t.to bevel the washers I used a sliver of wood and a dremel . have funn IMG_0020 - Copy.jpgIMG_0022 - Copy.jpgIMG_0023 - Copy.jpgIMG_0029 - Copy.jpg

Way to think outside the box!

Is that one of the fast tech Cobra clones? If so mine arrived with two stress cracks near the top. Day 2 wile filling it blew out! I put a warranty ticket in.... If they don't replace i may have to cut up a 10mm syringe. How did you cut your syringe? I was thinking of trying the chop saw with the finest plywood blade (installed backwards). I also had to drill out the air hole I was pulling juice up the wick flooding the deck!

hi tddman !
jes I think everybody is drilling the airhole diid not even mention it .so did I
not familiar with cobra .use a caliper to mesure it first . I suppose there are difference in syringes to .mine fit on both my did clones .
this is my first ever tank with cracks ..2 stress cracks .
I cut mine with a fine tooth hobby razor saw ..oversized. and used razor blades to whittle it down to size. the used a sissor blade edge to
scrape out a little of the sharp edge on the inside. itt took mi a long time not easy. then used a block of wood with sand paper , glued on.
next time I will make a jig maybe a piece of 2by 4 with a v grove to hold it sqare. what you could try to find a dowel for backup inside and use a small pipe cutter. let me know how it went.
