The AMP tank is a brand new device that is just now hitting the market. There's a huge thread about it in the tank sub-forum. It's pricey, but it has the real potential to totally eliminate using cartomizers as a delivery device. It comes in a complete kit including its own specialy designed tank.

The Killer is another new device hitting the market. It's a submersable atomizer that will fit in any tank, which also has the potential to eliminate the need of cartomizers.

The above statement just made me think... (Sometimes a good thing... Sometimes bad...)
1) AMP tank allows the use of a dripping atty in a tank... But the AMP tank is a pricy option.
2) The Killer 705 is basically a dripping atty that will work in a normal carto tank... But the Killer is a pricey option.
3) What would happen if we used a standard dripping atty with a 510 to 510 adapter in a normal carto tank???

Adding this to my "things I need to try" list...

I had been quite content using an Ikenvape carto in a tank for months. But the last couple of days have changed that. I still enjoy cartotanks, but the experience of a well-performing Genesis rebuildable atty has surpassed my expectations. The vapor quality and production is unmatched in my experience, and the flavor is wonderful, too. I can only equate the experience to what I remember from the first couple of drags of a cigarette when I smoked. I still amaze myself with the plumes of vapor my AGA is giving me. I just had to order a second one last night.

I'll use both types of delivery devices, but the top vape is the RBA. Now I get it.

I wondered how you were coming along with your aga. You have been such a carto tank fan. I started like this also and said that I wouldn't give up my carto tanks.. but now, poor little guy hardly ever gets picked up LOL

I'm just guessing here... But based on my experience using a 510 dripping atty with a drip shield, I would assume it would flood the atomizer over time, as there is little to impede the flow of juice into the atomizer. Because it's vented through the drip tip, the juice would come in to the bottom of the atty, and continue to flow over time until the fluid level in the atomizer matches the fluid level in the tank.

I could be completely full of crap though... You never know til you try it out...

So far with the Amp Tank sitting for 6-8 hrs while I'm sleeping the atty is the same as when I went to sleep. Design and function on this tank is second to none.

I also assume you we're talking about the carto tank with an atty. I can see your thought process on that. We could both be wrong though lol

Dam's deductive reasoning is spot on. Using a regular drip atty in a cartotank won't work as those atty's aren't designed to handle all that juice, they'll flood. They need a special tank like the AMP tank to regulate the juice and air flow to them.

The Killer atomizer is a specially designed atomizer that will work in any tank that was designed for a cartomizer. I'm not totally familiar with them yet as I don't have one, but from my understanding there is a mechanism to adjust the juice flow to it.

Thanks for asking. :D My AGA has been up and working for about 3 weeks. More off and on attention to it at the beginning, not continuous use. From the start I've been more than pleased with the vapor production. However, until the last couple of days I was not satisfied with the flavor. I rolled my first stainless steel mesh wick myself, and I suspected that I had over-oxidized the wick.

I found a vendor that sells pre-rolled, lightly oxidized ss wicks and I put that on the AGA and rolled my 3rd attempt of a wire coil. 2.0 ohm which works great for me on either the Provari or my un-Kicked Silver Bullet. The flavor is now there along with the impressive vapor. The satisfaction of the vape can be equated to the first couple of drags on a cigarette from my memory. I was so impressed that I ordered a second AGA T2.

But after 2 days of vaping bliss on it, I started noticing harsh vapor. I checked the ohm and it had fallen from 2.0 to 1.5. I have no idea why this happened. I messed with the coils some to no avail. I ended up emptying the tank, re-rolling another 2.0 ohm coil with the same wick, and I am back to normal again.

Anyone have any clues why I would get a drop in ohms and harsh vapor on a coil? The wick was getting plenty of juice, so I don't believe that played a part. I couldn't see any obvious problems with the coil, and the Provari wasn't throwing any error codes, but since the new coil is working great, I assume something happened with the previous one.

Only thing that I can think of is it shorting out on the wick..... Eh I could be wrong as well.

Quick little vapor production video of the amp tank btw http://youtu.be/LbjbYF9PJgo

You may have developed a short along the coil. Twisting the wick usually solves that problem.

Check that the top screw on the pos post hasn't come loose. I was having this problem with my did and someone from the did thread suggested this and it was my problem. But usually my resistance goes up when this happens, not down. I like to try to get my coils 1.3 to 1.5. I'm still learning and practicing but I'm getting better. One day, when a problem pops up, I hope to know exactly what is going on and be able to fix it immediately LOL

I've taken mine out when out and about on top of my Provari, laying it down on the passenger seat or in the front connected pockets of my hooded t-shirt. No leaking. And this is also true with the screw for the fill hole left off. The hole is too small for the juice to leak out...at least so far. If you wish to be extra careful against juice leakage, put the screw in the fill hole. The juice will not leak from the wick, as it completely occludes it's hole by it's mass.

I've had a few provari's and finally found my "unicorn"

The Amp tank with a HH.357 and my satin mini w/ ext cap.

What's everyone else's "perfect" setup with their ProVari?

It's not perfect but I'm content for now. Please show close ups of the Amp tank and describe all the gory details ty :)

Ok I'm a follower! I admit it. I got the chance to get a cobra clone yesterday. $5 usd. I followed the link that ZEN the master of the RBA has. I followed everything to the letter. The clone has way to much of an easy draw. Placed a small piece of scoth tape over part of the air hole. First couple of draws were fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean really really good. After I vaped it a while I started to get a metalic taste. I won't give up on it because I'm bound and determined to show everyone I work with that it's a good product. We don't put em on the shelf for customers cause no one knows a lot about em. This is where tnt56 steps in and picks up the pace. Bums me out that I filled it with HHV Shadowfax (which I enjoy very much) and it taste like baby poop at the moment.

As far as what goes perfect on top of a Provari. ANYTHING YOU PUT ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What it's made for is VAPING THE PERFECT SETTING FOR THE PERSON HOLDING IT.

SuzyQ; I showed a girl at work your pink mini. Between her and myself we are trying to talk her BF into getting her one. She fliped out when she saw you Pink Mini. (I'm doing more talking than she is. Just trying to get people to realize the difference in quality). Hope all is good with my Lady and everyone has a great day.
(really sad thing it I want a Provari in every color and every size they make). Darn credit card limits. That's the only thing that keeps me from going under at the moment. (Just got through spending the vape money for the month on a new Legacy.)
