Yes, the Tesla can't accept the Kanger T3's, and it can't use 18350 batteries. But if you perform a search on ECF and on google you'll find that the reliability of the Tesla is better than the Zmax, Vamo or Lava tube. I did a lot of research and I've talked to many Tesla owners (who btw, also own Provari's) and they've said the Tesla is very reliable. I've only been able to find 3 that needed to be returned. The other problem was fixed by making sure the spring was set it the proper groove in the end cap. After that there were no more problems.

The Zmax problems are all noted in this thread. Just read through it:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ic-flat-top-other-reports-one-week-later.html

The Tesla has VV and VW. It can tell you the ohms of your head and the battery life you have left. You can also lock in your settings. Add all of that to better Reliability and it's only reasonable to buy one, unless you don't mind replacing your PV somewhat frequently.

The other mods are good, but I don't want to worry about mine breaking down after the warranty has expired. If I had enough money to replace my PV every few months, I would've bought a Provari and a Tesla. :)

I read thru the first 10 pages and as I suspected, the 1 or 2 issues were either user-error or just caused by ignorance.

The SIGELEI ZMax V3 is extremely reliable. The Smok ZMax and all V1 and V2 ZMax have issues but the SIGELEI flat-top telescoping V3 does not.

A friend of mine is on his third Zmax because the firing button started to work intermittently The same problem happened with his two previous Zmax's. He's just sent it back this week. So actually, he will be on his fourth Zmax. These were all V3 telescoping flat tops. I'm amazed at his tenacity, but he says that he will keep returning them until he gets one that actually makes it past the warranty. And if that one fails after the warranty expires, he swears he going to contact Young June in China and get another. All this from a guy that has 3 Provari's and a boat load of other PV's. Lol:p

He went thru 3 mods and you think it's the mods fault? I'm willing to bet that is either user-caused error OR he has the knock-off smok ZMax. Just because the website SAYS it's a Sigelei doesn't mean it really is a sigelei.

My Sigelei Telescoping V3 flat-top ZMax performs just as well as my ProVari and so far it's just as reliable (I actually might like my ZMax more than my provari).

Yes, all 3 Zmax's had defective switches according to the vendor. There is actually quite a few people with this problem. And no, they weren't knock-offs.

There's a number of Tesla owners that also have Provari's. They've said that they like the Tesla just as much. I know this because I've talked with them through email, or they've posted their positive thoughts here on ECF.

You read 10 pages and found that all the problems were user error or ignorance? Really? Maybe you should've read the whole thread like I have.

We can disagree all day long. I think the Zmax is a decent mod, and I almost bought one until I found the Tesla. But there is more evidence that points to the Tesla being more reliable than the Zmax. That was good enough for me, and I'll tell everyone thats looking for a good reliable mod about my research so that they can make a better decision. :)

If I had a nickel for every time I told him to just write the Zmax off as a loss I'd be as well off as he is. Lol. He bought the Zmax to carry around with him when he was out and about. He should be getting his replacement Zmax tomorrow so we'll see what happens. He's the president of marketing for a medical supply company. You'd figure he would just move on and cut his losses. But he really likes the Zmax as a back up. He had to replace one of his beloved Provari's when he decided to jump into Lake Erie while it was still in his cargo pocket of his shorts. He bought another the next day. His wife wasn't to thrilled about that. She still brings it up every time we're on his boat. Must be nice to have money. Lol :)
