I'm about a month into vaping, totally quit a lifelong 2-3 PAD habit. I currently have a few Ego batteries and I'm using mostly Vision Nano clearo's. I can't say I'm disappointed with how they are working but I'm looking into the next step in a PV setup. I'm not ready to spend the $$ on a provari yet. What would be considered a step up from the Ego systems?

Well, with only a month in I think I can see the benefits of a wider range in variable voltage. I suppose replaceable batteries will be a good thing. Like I said, I can't really say the Ego's I have are not working. I'm just really serious about not smoking again and I want to make sure my devices are giving me solid performance. Again not to say the Ego is not working for me.

I loved my egos...I still use them, but the bloom is off the rose, so to speak. I prefer my Vision Spinner. I usually use clearomizers, but the ohm rating is not always what you expect it to be. Being able to turn up the voltage to accommodate a 2.1 ohm that was supposed to be 1.8... The vape is sooo much more satisfying. I beginning to rewick and recoil myself, and I am not confident in my ability to get a "perfect" 1.8 ohm, but with a spinner? No problem.
I also have a Sigelei Zmax Mini, which I love at home; on the go, the spinner all the way.

Since replaceable batteries are a consideration, I would recommend checking out a Vamo.

I will only say what I did when I reached that point. I bought a Vamo and have been very happy with it. Because I was getting tired of hauling it around (pretty big and heavy), I just bought an itaste vv, which is VV and VW and is about the same size as an ego battery. I fired it up out of the box yesterday without charging and it's still going strong.

If you are non-techinical orientated, and have no interest in getting deep into the zillion gadgets out there, just cough up the money and buy a Provari. I think it is best for that kind of user, it will last a long time and has excellent support. If you want to tinker around with many things, try different more niche items and sell the ones you don't like back in the classifieds. Most people eventually decide they prefer variable voltage/wattage, but some swear by mechanicals such as the various Reo models. But if you go the experimental route you will end up spending many times more than one premium PV like the Provari.

I will add, I went the experimental route and tried more PVs ($1000's of dollars) than I can count, eventually (after 2 years) I ended up buying a Provari and it is one of only 2 PV's I use now, the other is a expensive mechanical (Precise+).

For the sake of simplicity, the next 'step up' I would take is to get yourself an eGo Twist or a Vision Spinner. I prefer the Spinners myself, because the voltage markings are so easy to see/read. I like them even more than my eGo-V v2. Some iClear16s to go along with that...again, for the sake of simplicity.

One of the things I like about the Ego-C Upgrade is that it indicates battery level by the color of the button when pressed: Lighter Blue (or Yellow at higher voltage) when it has a good charge, and Darker Blue (or Yellow) when the battery is low.

I've tried looking at a couple sites that sell the C-Twist or Vision Spinner, and I haven't seen this on the description. Does anyone know if there is a feature that indicates battery level on either of these?

Which bit of the OPs "I'm not ready to spend the $$ on a provari yet." is difficult for some of you people to understand. Why not advise him on a cheaper alternative, you know actually help him based on the parameters of his request rather than tickling your own ego's by telling him your set up.

I don't see that at all. I see members giving advice based on their own experiences. Why go through spending hundreds, if not more, only to find that a Provari is going to do everything you want and more.

From my own personal experiences, I started out on V2 ecigs before discovering this site. I spent close to $160.00 on ecigs only to discover that I could get a more satisfying vape from my eGos. I barely touch the V2s now. I wish I had come here before spending that money. Just my two cents though.
