Nothing is wrong with dekang if you like it. I vaped SEJ for 6 months exclusivly and never had any compplaints execept for one or two juices that got good reviews but just werent for me. David Bruno. I just saw your post in the supplier section. I emailed Jane at SEJ to tell her their website was really slow and the security certificate was expired and she said their servers were upgrading and she couldnt even respond to one single email. I don't know if this helps. I guess I have just been lucky and have never had a problem with them.

I just got some Dekang DK Tab (YNDK embossed into the cap) with a manufacturing date of 20 November 2010 printed on it and it's really nice. I think the rumour I read somewhere that all their juices have gone downhill since whatever happened in May is probably just rubbish spread by the competition.

I think it has more to do with mental mindsets than anything else. People do it without even realizing it a lot of the time, but the tone is still the same... "Buy American made" and "if it's made in China it sucks". It really gets old... And in the end, it's pretty much racism imho.

I know I'll get flamed for saying this, but it's the reality of the matter. If anyone wants to challenge me on this, do some research before slamming me, because I see it all of the time; yes, even here on these forums.

And last I checked, the only lab we've seen so far is Dekangs. There was a video on youtube from "leggomyears" stated 2 US manufacturers have provided pictures/video of their labs, but the general public has yet to see those.

My point? I'd much rather buy from a Chinese company who has shown us their facility than risk buying from someone who might be running operations from their basement...

I do agree with your "mindset" theory, however, there is another side to the story.

When my hubby and I first started vaping in May of 2009, Dekang was the first e-juice we tried. At the time it was okay, but we kept getting batches that were very perfumey and chemical tasting. Then we tried Johnson Creek, which is American made, and we weren't getting any of that chemical taste. And of course, after that, more and more USA based companies were starting to manufacture their own juices. Now granted we haven't tried Dekang's juice in a long time and they may have drastically improved. I think a lot of the stigma of saying "NO" to Dekang stems from that "perfumey/chemical taste" that was so prevalent in the beginning.

I just wanted the op to see all sides of the Dekang story. Not all stems from "racism". Just my 2 cents.

Happy Vaping to all!

it is very immature to avoid Dekang just because it is from China, most of the stuffs we buy comes from China nowadays...

Call me immature then. I just ordered jeans made in Texas, wooden bowls and shower jel made in New England and cutlery made somewhere out west. I just believe in keeping more jobs here in the USA. I've also had much better luck with USA made products, including the coffee mugs that I print and sell. It also has nothing to do with racism. :)

I see you point and I agree with it, but we are discussing more towards the skepticism of some people that Dekang's liquid is not good just because they're made in China. Some of the US vendors lab could very well be a .... lab lookalike, but we still buy from them. Safety and industrial standard wise? I think we gamble with that all the time since we started vaping...

As with other companies, they have excellent, good, and crappy liquids to sell

I liked/like DK just fine. But when I found out about all the other options out there and tried them I realized there are better options then DK.

Nothing wrong with it, but there is better juice out there.

Exactly my main reason for vaping Dekang is because at SEJ it 9.95 a bottle 30ml and free shipping. Just can save a lot of money doing it.

Things made in china are mostly made cheap and don't last. I wouldn't call it racism. Prejudice? Absolutely! And with good cause! The workers don't make much and the materials don't cost much. That's why they're cheap!

Americans put more pride into the things they make. We make far superior products. That's the way it is and will mostly be for the rest of our lives. Get used to it. And be proud of it.

Geographic origin doesn't really amount to something being good or bad. Most of the established British hi-fi producers built facilities in Shenzhen in the last decade. It allowed them to stay in business, because in a world of dwindling sales they were able to dramatically raise their profit margin by producing in China.

Totally Wicked Red Label is made in China, and I am quite fond of the Cherry Cigar and the French Pipe. Good juice.

I'm Dekang fan:). I've tried others but they just didn't come through. Dekang liquids got a very light taste though I've come across sweeter stronger ones as well... just like other suppliers they have good and bad juices as well. Their basic liquid is 80%PG and 20%VG. I love their Blueberry and RY4 actually I got quite addicted to these two flavors.
I think there's nothing wrong with them and I've never experienced any chemical taste in their liquid though I've been only vaping from Feb 2010.
It's probably we are all different thus we like different tastes.

Ok I have been vaping for almost 5 months now. I started with the prefilled carts and that lasted about 2 weeks. I then learned that I can refill my own carts and I bought from strictlyejuice and I was blown away from this juice. I will admit that the tobacco and turkish tobacco (dekang) does have that chemically taste but let me tell you that the vapor I got from these I could feel it in my chest. I guess you can call that a chest hit. Well anyways I just wanted to say that I have tried other "american" liquids from like 5 different vendors and I don't think these american liquids can touch the dekang. I know it is personal preference but I am just saying what I think and that you shouldn't be hesitant to try the dekang liquids. Make sure you use the PTB though ;)

For me it's just been a matter of checking out a LOT of juices and discovering that there are some amazing and to me delicious options. Dekang, which is where probly virtually all of us started, just seems 'eh' to me now. No xenophobia here whatsoever - I just am finding that my very favorite juices are made here. Juice variety is so damned much fun. :)

I don't like any of the Chinese made juices. They seem to have a weird taste to them. But others love them and alot of vapors started out with them. They're often more economical to use. I think it's just a matter of personal preference. I find that there are many juices out there that are better (or at least more suited to my taste). I've had some of the Chinese juices when I started. I didn't think that they were awful at the time, but then I tried juice from artisan vendors like Backwoods Brew and Ms. T Bakery. I think I got myself spoiled.

Their menthol is bloody good actually. 2nd best i've tried so far - only vaping since dec 21st. It really is a good honest menthol with zero chemical taste or the crap chewed peice of wrigleys some vendors sell. I honestly think it's just like smoking a DUNHILL ICE honestly, it actually tastes and feels like a menthol light.

I've sampled others of theirs actually in store in Korea, just down the st from me (nice for emergencies, but not really at 18usd for 10 ml in this country lol) and they seemed okay but I wasn't really into those flavors I tried.

I started with Dekang liquids through mypvshop.com. I enjoyed some of them, but I find many of them to be way too sweet. I can't vape their doublemint or their vanilla by themselves. But, they are excellent for adding to other flavors. A nice tobacco flavor with either of these is sublime.

Very interesting to hear you say that as, the other dekang one I did like was their Ry4 - not really so much by itself, but I bough a carto of it from them and it doesn't fit my ego so cracked her open and tore out the juice soaked filler and added it to some 8ml I had left of a not so great generic 'tobacco' from gh1, shook it like crazy and let steep for a day- and it is gorgeous!! Kinda like vaping a snickers without the chocolate lol.

So yeah, I am very satisfied with their menthol and if you like ry4, their's is as good as others I've sampled in other stores including JANTY who are a much respected vendor (Janty store a 30 min bus ride from me ner ner ner ner ner... ;p but insane prices....) and if you don't like stright ry4 but want to add some caramel like complexity to tobacco flavors or perhaps coffee - it is a great mixer imho.
