hello, i've seen this on websites i order from and around here somewhat. Searched for this and found a lot of stuff really unrelated...

So anyways, i've been using an ego-t with carts for about three months now, never had any problems with the two atomizers or two cartridges i've been using (two because after a week i do clean them). It seems just about everyone has these in their cartridges, which i do not, so what are they for exactly?

There are two kinds of atomizers.

A tank atomizer aka Ego-T (or 510-T atomizer in the slim version) is designed for use with Ego-T tanks (or 510-T tanks for the slim 510 version) . The atomizer is different inside from a normal atomizer. The tank atomizer has a spike plate and spike and the wick in there is attached differently to bring the tank's liquid to the heating coil

A normal atomizer instead has a metal mesh bridge /\ (may be more rounded) and attached to that is the wick that goes down to the heating coil. The plastic cartridge aka cart has stuffing in it to hold the liquid - there is nothing else holding the liquid in - the inner end of the cartridge is totally open. The cartridge is pushed is pushed into or onto the atomizer, the bridge pokes into the stuffing the and wick carries juice from the stuffing to the heating coil. On a manual battery that is well-sealed, a drip tip can be used on a normal atomizer to test juices without dirtying a cart.

The way most people vape their favorite juices is yet another way - with cartomizers which are disposable combined carts or tank-like things with the heating coil inside. The one piece holds juice AND screw onto the battery. Cartomizers let you keep your flavors totally separate since they each have their own atomizer. And there are no atomizers to keep clean. People who use cartos usually use an atomizer to test juices and to vape occasional juices and put their suitable favorites in cartomizers (suitability involves the thickness of the juice and the kind of cartomizer - most cartomizers work best with thinner juices)
