Hey fellow vapers!

I got some batteries as a gift a while back. They came in a little clear plastic case with no information at all.

Here's some pics.

Sorry I cant seem to make them any bigger. Lol.
The pic on the left says the basic stuff
18650 3.7V 2500mAh.

Pic on the right says
LGDBHE21865

I've been googling around and it looks like the ones on ebay are 35 amps. But I've seen others on different websites that say 20 amps, and another that says 35 amps....

Is there a way I can find out for sure exactly how many amps these have without pushing their limits and make them explode in my face?
I really want to know what the amps are because I have a tugboat I'm trying to build dual coils on and I've been dry fire pulsing them to try to pinch'em and get them all perfect..

Does it really matter with a regulated box mod? I got an ipv mini and I think its board is 14 amp limit anyways... I duno.

If any of you guys can help me I'd really appreciate it. :)

Can't find a manufacturer spec sheet for it, nor can I find any tests. The "best" thing I can tell you is more than one place says it's continuous current output is 20 A so I would stick with that. Max output 35 A? What does that mean? Max until it blows? Without a mfr spec sheet or testing there's no way to know. In general it's best to not use any battery you cannot effectively research.

I have one of these and I researched it before I bought it. They are LG HE2 and are rated 20 amps continuous discharge. Yours looks pretty much the same as mine so I think it is legit. These are very good batteries and as safe as anything else out there including Sony VTC's. 35 amps is a pulse rating which I ignore. Stay within the continuous rating and you'll be fine, even when they get a bit older.

Ya thanks guys. I'll just go with the 20a.

I really wish I knew for sure lol. I'll get some cash and I'll probably go buy some vtc4's I hear they're really good batteries and least I'll know for sure what amp limit they have.

Thanks again guys.
I've used the LG HE2 and the VTC4 side by side extensively, the LG HE2 performs better for longer from my personal real world experience. While the LG HE2 only has a 20A continuous drain rating it can burst 35A for nearly a minute, during extremely high drain discharge(30-35A) the LG HE2 still outperforms my VTC4 with real world usage, the VTC4 just lacks the capacity at 2100mah of the 2500mah LG HE2 so it doesn't last as long.\

The LG HE2 will be 100% fine in an IPV Mini device, it cannot drain more than the battery can handle.
