Hello everyone.

So I decided to start smoking e cigs a few days ago. I did some searching, read some reviews, and ordered a starter kit from greensmoke. So of course now that its due to arrive probably tomorrow is when I have some more questions.

Was wondering what the best 2 piece set is. I'm thinking what would make it good would be how long the cartomizer last, and how long a battery charge lasts, and how many times it can be charged.

I found some info that greensmoke uses an e9 battery, but are all e9's the same?

So that's all for now. Any answers appreciated.

GreenSmoke, E9, and Smoke51 Duo are the same battery style. There's probably others. LeCig.com sells the batteries for 16 bucks instead of 50! Mine works great. I buy Smoke51 carts for 30% off with the code dsc-441. The KR808D-1 or Vapor King style is a 2 piece also and it's a bit cheaper than GreenSmoke. I bought 2 GreenSmoke kits and they were rock solid in quality. shop around for the cartos. LeCig sells them cheaper and also their D-2 version cartos work as well. Look for discount codes on the web. They're everywhere and you can save 5-30% off your orders. The E9 style kicks ..... I'm using it as I write this. =]

I believe that greencig cartomizers are the best. They last the longest, are easy to refill (with a syringe) and don't burn out. I have 2 I've refilled over 35 times (clean once a week). More expensive then kr8's but since I have yet to have 1 fail long term cost much cheaper. Don't know if they fit a green smoke batt but the do fit kr8 auto batts, Lecig.com has the best price I've seen so far.

KR808d-1, aka KR8, 808, KR808, Vapor King, Easy E-cig, Ace, and other names is the most common 2-piece out there. I like it a lot. Others may prefer GreenCig or GreenSmoke, but there are some advantages to the KR8's popularity.

For the two-pieces, with the KR8 you'lll have the biggest choice in vendors (for bargain hunting and service comparison that's a big plus) and the biggest number of users here to help you out with trouble-shooting. Thanks to this price competition, I can get a pack of 5 blank cartomizers for as little as $5-6.

Also the KR808 has the greatest variety of options/products to choose from -- mega x-long batteries, PCCs, cartomizers in different colors and flavors, etc.
It's also easiest to get KR808d-1 battery connnectors and adapters for battery mods if you ever decide to go for a big-battery 3.7v or high-voltage mod.

I listed some suppliers and my views on the KR808d-1 in another long post if you're curious.

I have heard good things about the GreenCig (different from the GreenSmoke!) cartomizers but they also fit the KR808 automatic batteries (not the manual ones) from what I've heard.

Thanks for the replies, I think I will give kr808d-1 next.
By next I mean when the battery from greensmoke wears out, so how long does a battery lifetime last? And how long on the kr8?

Also, how many packs does a kr8 cart equal? Greensmoke says theirs amounts to 1.5 packs.

Thanks again.
Makers' claims on ANY cartridges/cartos that they will "last as long as a pack" or more are exaggerations, from my (limited) experience and the accounts here.

I hear varying accounts from users of 2-pieces on how many cartomizers equals a pack, but most people seem satisfied with 2-4 KR808d-1 cartomizers a day. So, maybe 1/2 pack at the outermost? I'm sure others have different estimates. I know the GreenCig cartos have a higher capacity and may last longer; not sure about GreenSmoke. But you can refill any model of cartomizers, and 2-pieces all have higher capacity than the 3-pieces.

Can't answer on how many recharges it takes for the battery to fail...I got a battery mod fairly early. They're all Li-Ion batts with similar construction AFAIK.

I notice the last message in this thread was about 6 months ago. I wanted to find out if there is anything new on the market or new opinions in regards to the 2-piece e-cig systems? I do know I don't want to get into these 3-pience systems.

Basic info: I had been smoking Camel filtered cig's for the past 35 years, about 1 pack a day habit. I have tried to quit before without any success until now.

A little over two months ago I research e-cig's and found Green Smoke. I haven't smoke a regular cig. in two months and have been using the Green Smoke system entirely. I am happy with Green Smoke but I have never tried another product to compare Green Smoke to so I don't know if there is something better out there.

It sounds like the KR808D might be a good one to try out that is similar to Green Smoke. Is there any new opinions or suggestions?

Does anyone know if the KD808D system is fairly interchangeable with the Green Smoke components, i.e. will the batteries, battery charger and cartomizers from Green Smoke work with the KD808K system and visa a versa? Maybe there is a adapter if they don't?

Many thanks for your suggestions - Bill

I use the KR808D-1 Vapor King from Vapor4Life and I love it. I have never tried the Green Smoke but I've read many comments about it here on ECF and it sounds like the VaporKing is a much better e-cig in terms of vapor, flavor and power/batteries.

I don't know about compatibility issues but hopefully someone will chime in.

Just a follow up: I ordered and received yesterday the Vapor King from Vapor4Life. It was well worth it, I got the extra long batteries XL line that last at least 8 hours. You get a lot in the starter kit for the money, the pass through, chargers and two batteries as well as a pack of cart's were well worth the $69 I paid. The throat hits are amazing, very good. I highly recommend the Vapor King, i.e. KR808.

I'm new to the forum (obviously since I'm posting in the new member section:confused:) but I've done reviews for GreenSmoke on CigaretteReviews org. They seem to be the most popular 2 part electronic cigarette from what I can tell. I did recently find a new (at least new to me) brand v2cigs.com that claims to be the best. Anyone know anything about this brand?

Thanks!:toast:

I would read the thread emb listed above. It helped me in deciding which to buy and i went with KR808. I think you will disappointed if you decide to go with greensmoke.

The much more expensive E9 (e.g., GreenSmoke, Smoke51, eSmoke, SmokeTip, WhiteCloud, etc.) is not the most popular among ECF members. [Notice how heavily supported by E9 advertising the CigaretteReviews.org site is. In fact, it is not really a "reviews" site, but appears to be a marketing coop for those brands (and the blu).]

Thanks for the plug, YKruss! And it is not just I; the Kr8 is one of the two most widely recommended models for a new vaper (the other is the 510, either on the regular 510 battery or on the eGO).

I initially used an 801 and a 510, both 3-piece. I liked them both but hated the mess of dealing with filling the cart, adding straws, replacing the filling with blue foam or fluval, etc. I tried 808 cartomizers (using an adapter) but I didn't like the draw or the flavor.

Since the big 510 cartomizers have come out I think I have the best of both worlds. A two-piece that I'm not constantly refilling and that tastes good. I like the ones with the soft end which I remove and replace with a drip tip.

CerVeR7 thanks for the recommendation. I'll checkout Vapor4Life and their KR808! I'm intrigued by how popular they are among ECF members.
