I have been vaping for at least 2 years now and been through every device imaginable (it feels) and stopped on the kanger protank and a cheap carto tank. I even bought a cheap AGA T clone rebuildable and tried to rebuild that, vivi nova's, protank coils ect. to no avail! wasted a lot of money :( I am happy with the protank when all the stars align with it. I would say its the best vape I have had so far. But sometimes if the level of juice is too high it tastes bad and other times out of no where it will taste bad. The coil lasts anywhere from 2 days to 10 and although they are cheap and easy enough to swap out I know there must be something that lasts longer and performs better. I am constantly pulling hits off of this all day at a respectable voltage so maybe its just my vaping habits but I would like some insight from you lovely people. What is the best setup for constant use? I have a Darwin and a Provari.

For me SS wicks are working well in a Protank like setup (Tatroe tank). It's pretty much all I use except for drippers. I haven't had time to get back into the AGA T2 yet but have hopes for it. For me it's become about a re-buildable that's simple and fast to build and lasts for at least a week and a half. I just roll up a 10 mm x 1.5 inch strip of 500 mesh wrap it by hand 6 times with 32 g kanthal and drop it in the Prtank cup. You have to use some silica (I use 2 1mm strips) on the top. Trim the SS as well. You have to pulse the battery or burn the SS with a torch of course.

I have had no weird taste, sudden performance drop-off or any unexplicable weirdness since using this method about a month or so now. It's a compromise between flavor, vapor and overall life span I guess. I'm on my 3rd coil and all I get is a nice big cloud of flavorful vape. I also use a kick and I can turn it up higher without that burned taste (or the burn threshold as I call it with silica). For me that's it. I have spent about 100$ on devices that are sitting but that's the game we play. Good Luck and hope you get plenty of responses to help you.

Wow you guys are fast around here thanks WOOHOO!!!! I hope someday they make premade coils with ss for my protank, because I have determined that I totally suck right now at rebuilding anything. Im fed up. What your talking about sounds like a dream! There would be no need for a kick on a provari or darwin though right? if so how does that work anyway?

You don't need a kick on a protected device. Here's a good video on it. Kanger protank-wick and coil setup with 400 ss mesh :) - YouTube There are a lot of videos and threads on it so read up. Re-building can be really frustrating for awhile but it's worth it in the long run IMHO. Always have a viable back up in case your rebuild ends up working like crap.

I have been using a Phiniac or IBtanked tanks with Boge cartos on a Provari for about 2 months. I vape heavily every day and the taste and vapor produced by the cartos for me is second to none. I do have protanks and like the way they vape but, no comparison to the carto in my Phiniac or IBTanked. Haven't tried RBA's yet, I'm to lazy!

I feel your frustration, but to vape is to fiddle.

A regular 510 non rebuildable atomizer can last 6-8 weeks with a bit of love. Should work no problem on your Provari.

Personally I don't see the problem with popping out a head and screwing a new one in every week or so (they are $1.50 - considering I was spending $6 a day on cigarettes)

I use a liquid bottom feeder that uses 510 atomizers. It's cheap and gives a vape that is flavorful and plentiful. It's a VMOD XL. It a mech mod so it is another device, but now I have it, everything else I own (pretty much) sits in the vape chest unused.

Ya it must be something with this cheap plastic tank I have but Im not getting that pleasant of vapes with the boge 2.0 ohm cartos right now. It seems im vaping it dry or something. I know I primed it really well too it just seems its not doing its thing correctly. I have the boge f17 and its working like crap. I have heard awesome things about those tanks! what sets them apart? Also whats up with some of those tanks with what looks like air flow carbs on them? Does that make it even better?

Thanks Moogle I will try when I find my ZEN lol

I am really tempted to get a bottom feeder ! I know its easy to swap out coils and cheap enough but for example I am on my 2nd coil in 3 days and the damn thing is not tasting good it is fully primed at a respectable voltage. Other coils taste great right away. Its just a pain when you go through 2 or 3 bad ones to get to a good one. Then your spending too much money.

I have several IBTanks and really like them, but ultimately a tank is a tube. Unless one leaks, there isn't much difference between one of the other. The cartos are what makes the difference. I like Smok(tech) better than Boges (one of them has denser filling, but I can't remember which) and some people rave about IKenVape. I prefer single coil, but others like dual. Even with carto tanks there is room to experiment.

ETA: (I just saw your last post). I recently got into bottom-feeders and love them!

I want a bottom feeder too but it's gonna be a next year thing. Can't justify it tight now. I'm really intrigued by the Billet Box.

I wasn't going to mention the billet box! what an amazing design !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't justify anything right now i'm so poor. I'm nearing the 20 post mark though and will verify and probably sell one of my mods in order to buy a new toy soon! I just finished reading a post about a 2 year vaper who said he has tried all sorts of crap out there like myself and wound up on an eroll and couldn't be happier.. this is becoming a rich man's hobby. I want to at least try it for a couple weeks before I buy it!! Ya know what I mean!?? There are things I have bought that barely got a weeks worth of use or no use at all (cough) AGA T clone (cough). Can you sell your RBA's and RDA's here too?

Just to let you know, the VMOD XL is $84.99. vapage often have 50% off sales, bringing it to $42 and change. I got one, then got another in the sale a couple of weeks ago. Just check the liquid feed section in the forum and you'll see them. For that price, you really can't beat them

I'm still not ready to pull the trigger on a REO, but I know it's going to happen one day.

As for selling your stuff, yes, you can sell anything vape related - batteries, clearos, RBA, mods etc. etc.

Dump the F17 cartos and tank. Get some regular Boge XL cartos(no flanges) with a cheap XL tank with SS ends. Make sure the tank does not have the recessed end on the bottom for flanged cartos. Get a carto punch and put two holes in the tank. Prime it well. I should work for you. It does for me. I get about 5 days out of one. I order mine 25 at a time, so they cost less than $1 each shipped.

I got them here, but they are out of stock at the moment.

Boge Cartomizers Mix-and-Match 5 Pack Deal

This company has a mix and match also, but are a couple of dollars more.

Does the first place have free shipping like surevapes does on orders over $10 in the U.S?

I love you I hate you I... for you getting another one on that last sale and me finding out about it... 3 days late. :(

To the OP: go to vapage.com and sign up for their mailing list so you get notice of the next sale. I want to try bottom feed too, but I'm not about to blow two hundred bucks on a Reo for an untried (for me anyway) very different hardware experience. (Aglet - can I borrow your XL until the next sale?)

See ya at the next vapage sale!

isnt there a 50% off coupon out right now for the vapage? And if ya'll need a cheap bottom feeder get the boge revolution. Its $34.99 without a coupon and even cheaper when you can find one. Heres a site with the 2.1v in stock: Boge Revolution V2.1 Starter Kit - EVcigarettes.com Boom. Bottom feeding under 40 bucks shipped. & you can use bottom feeding RBAs on it.

I'm a heavy vaper.. I have tried multiple different types of cartridges, clearomizers, atomizers etc... My top pick is the ismoka bcc mega tank (bottom filling). It allows the fabulous flavor to come through, no leaking, large tank without being too large (if that makes sense) and I have used mine for a week now no issues with burning tastes or anything.
