what is the best way to prolong the use of used but currently unused batteries ??

I started using twists and spinners and the itaste and so on....but I have 10+ 808 batteries that I used that are still working . So my question is what can I do prolong the life of these while not using them, I would like to keep them for emergency type situations. Any advice ??? Thanks in advance for you help

i just got finished putting my used but un-used hehe batteries in the frig.

he said he has had batteries in the frig since 2009 and they work fine.

after chatting back and forth with him a bit, i decided to do this as well. I TRUST KURT... he has helped me before and he has led me in the right direction every time.

i had my batteries stored in mylar ziplock bags. since i live in a high humidity area, i also had silica bags inside the mylar bags with the batteries.

after i chatted with kurt, i tossed mylar bags w/ batteries and silica in them in the frig making sure nothing can/will put pressure on the batteries/buttons.

usually the manufacturers recommend the battery be stored in a half charged state for long term storage.
