Hello I recently purchased a 510 atty to use on my 510 PT. I was wondering about break in time. The 510 atty i have is a Boge 510 atty. doesn't seem to perform well i was wondering if I should just get a joye 510 atty. I"m very happy with the 510 cartomizers I have. they are Dekang and are the hard top type. I also use a 306 atty on my blu and it's a beast. hardest hitting of the 3 i named. That one seems to burn hot. I think too hot to use VG. because when I use Vg with the 306 It tastes like i'm vaping vegetable oil with no flavor. the Vgs are fine in the other 510 atty and carto. I'm not sure if I made any sense with my ramblings  but hopefully i'll be able to gain some insight.

Thanks in advance!

As far as 'break in time' goes - it can vary. Some are good right out of the box and some you need to first blow the shipping/primer liquid out first and then can still get some residue on the first 'session' with the atty. Many times after cleaning, there is a 're-break in time' to where the atty 'wakes up' ususally - dripping a few drops on the bridge helps but you don't want to 'flood' the atty either. If you're not getting vapor, then it's likely flooded. If you're getting vapor but no flavor, then it's time to drip or refill the cartridge.

As far as models - in my personal experience, Joye attys perform the best and I think it's because they have a metal mesh base around the bridge that helps keep the coil moist. Dry attys taste bad and if you vape dry, you can kill an atty rather quickly - so whatever you have keep them moist. Whenever you taste a flavor drop, it's time to refill or drip.
