What is the easiest, most foolproof E-Cig?

I feel like I am beating a dead horse because lately all I am typing is my love for the kr808/Vapor King/Nebula. I have tried and own almost all of the hyped models around here (510, 801, 901, and Lady Pipe). Out of all of these, the VK is the one I would recommend to anyone starting up. It is just too easy to use and easy to refill. I think just about anyone can use it, and then perhaps venture into other models. I sort of did it backward because I got fed up quickly with the maintenance on the other models that I own. But all things said...right now...I am vaping on my VK with a passthrough, and you'd have to pretty much ace me to get it away from me.

ETA: My recommendation? Go buy a cheap starter kit from Steve at V4L and a few carts. That way you can try it and let your folks try it too. You can give them each their own cart and let em give it a whirl and then you can speak to the difference between this model and your model of choice.

I had the opportunity to talk to my daughter's mother-in-law a bit, though not at great length since we were both in town for our Grandson's 5th birthday. That took priority, so we really didn't get to the "I'd like to try those, what should I try?" point. She's a very light smoker, which I why I thought something very easy to use and foolproof might be a good match for her.

I'm sure the subject will come up again, so thanks again all for the input! I may pick up one for myself sometime just to try out.

I always recommend the KR-808D as the perfect starter, both because it's the easiest to use and because it was the one that finally let me turn the corner to completely leaving analogs behind. I have a 501 and really enjoy it in the evenings, when I have more time, but the cartomizers are just so convenient and satisfying that they are my first choice at the office, and out and about. Over time I switched the carts to the greencig carts because of the burning issue of the others, but the greencig carts work well on the KR-808D batteries, so I can use my original supplies with the greencig carts, and these carts can be refilled multiple times so even though they are a bit more expensive, refilling brings the costs more in line with the other carts.

Nhaler has the greencig carts at the best price, and service is excellent. Nhaler has a good price on the KR808D starter kit with charging case, though I've also used Eastmall for bulk battery purchases, and I've always gotten great service from them also.

One other thing to do is pass along this web address, so the interested people can get answers to the many questions we all have when we start the journey.

Can someone who uses cartomizers or factory pre-filled carts explain how they are so much more convenient than just pre-filling a bunch of carts with your own juice? I mean, I have about 10 empty carts that I just prefilled and can pop on my PV at any time, if I don't feel like topping off or dripping? It seems it'd be just as easy and a lot cheaper than paying for pre-filleds? I just don't understand why the cartomizers or factory pre-filled are viewed as so much easier?

Kristin - a valid question. I still refill my greencig carts, but don't have to play with the filler, just drip liquid, and when the cart gets "old" tasting I just toss it (get at least a few days off of each cart, some more than that), and for me the throat hit I get with the kr808s just seems a bit better.
I do still enjoy my 501, but the 2-piece made the real difference for me in giving up the analogs pain-free, and with the original carts I just tossed them when the taste went bad (didn't refill those at all).
For me there is definitely a place for both the 2-piece and 3-piece units, as the 2-piece come with a flavor already, so there is an art to refilling them with a complimentary flavor, whereas with the 3-piece you can load a variety of flavors for tasting and testing. It's just that I think for an intro the 2-piece units are the easiest.

Hi Kristin, great questions! For me it is two-fold. One is the fact that I was sick of faulty atomizers and primer fluid and dripping and filling and sucking up liquid and so on so the cartomizer concept is great for me. I literally kill a cartomizer in about the same time as I can kill an atomizer thereby making it actually cheaper for me.

The second is that you can actually refill the cartomizer (the other half of the cheaper concept). You can drip into the battery end as mentioned by another poster or you can saturate the filler by popping off the top and the washer. So you can refill these and reuse them over and over. From someone who has refilled several cart styles, these are actually easier to refill and I don't worry about stuffing coming unglued or cart mods for better refills. I refill a cartomizer and it is good to go for at least a few hours of chain vaping...and I do mean chain vaping (my pv is perpetually hanging out of my mouth). So they are as easy to refill as the others (if not easier once you get the hang of it), the refills last longer when you do it, and the flavor and vapor output just rules - added bonus.

Like you, I have about 10 empty cartomizers that I can refill and just pop em on at any given time. I just don't have to worry about atomizers on top of that.

Catomizer PVs are not for everyone, but they are definitely worth a second look.

IMHO, it's hard to beat the simplicity of dipping a 401 into a little "puddle" of juice in a small contact lense case. I haven't tried a Vapor King, but dipping is pretty easy. I take out the filler material and cup inside. Then you just pull the cap off, dip it into the juice, slide the cap back on and puff away.

Since the OP has a 510,,, a 306 atty will fit his 510 equipment and accomplish the same thing, plus give the option of using a 510 PCC for on the go charging.

I've been looking into mod, and thinking of going with a 510 adapter, because you can then have the option of a 510 atty for prefilling, and a 306 as an exposed atty for dipping. Just another option to think about.

go get yourself a KR808D-1 , aka TheNebula TheVaporKing. The prefilled carts last at least 10 analog cigarettes long , sometimes longer , the average 5 pack of atomizer/cart combos will only run you on average about $10.

for me when i'm traveling or "going out" there is not another device i would want to use. The cartomziers can be re-filled with juice , but it's completely optional

I certainly wouldn't call the 510 the easiest or most foolproof, nor would i bestow that title on the 901, nor on the 801.

Definately try the KR808D-1, it's maintenance free, no need to learn how to stuff a cart and drink mouthfulls of juice.

I recommend the Vapor King available from Vapor4life.com, primarily because he has a no questions asked warranty, and thats a real rarity in this business. I had a battery fail on me when I first got my kit and Steve replaced it immediately and without question.

Therefore: If i were to say which e-cig is the easiest, most reliable, most fool proof, and user friendly. The KR808D-1 takes the title hands down. No learning curve whatsoever, no straw mods, no tea bags, just plug and play all the way.

I started with a 901, love the flavor from them. Ordered a 510 regular and passthru, still use it to test flavors I'm mixing but the VaporKing is hands down my #1 (sitting in my hand as i type with my own Cotton Candy filled cartomizer)
Too easy to refill, I pull the end off and fill 2 in the morning before work and they last all day. When I'm home I just drop in to the hole at the battery end, gets sucked right i and lasts a good hour or more (this thing is never out of my mouth)
The prefilled carts last at least a day on flavor, if not more and super easy to refill. Also you can wash out the old flavor under water and let it dry so you don't mix flavors.
I'd definitely recommend the Vaporking for ease of use
Oh and for testing other flavors I sometimes put the 901 atty on it and drip

By your own signature line you seem to have had ZERO, nada, zip experience with the KR808D-1,

I just laugh at those without much experience. Let me be clear again. It's not a good idea to recommend anything you haven't tried yourself. I guess you will just have to embarrass yourself once or twice before you learn. __________________

I use a 510, and am just starting to consider mods. I think the 510 is great, but it's come with quite a learning curve; no problem for me, but for some it could be daunting to say the least. I know of a few folks who might be interested, but likely wouldn't if they have to work very hard at it.

What do folks think is the best, easiest to use, and most foolproof product for someone who is not technically inclined, likely doesn't use internet resources (like these forums) much, and would likely prefer using prefilled carts as opposed to dealing with refilling or even topping off? Are the cartomizer products worth looking into?

If they are a very light smoker I would say the 4081 or the 103. If they smoke at least a pack or more a day I would go with the 801, 510, or 901.

I would have originally said the 4081, but now that I have really had a chance to use the kr808d for nearly a week - I have to vote for this thing.

It couldn't get any easier. The flavor is twice as potent as with my 4081 or 084. Refilling also could not be any easier no matter which method you choose - if you even decide to refill.

I honestly can't believe that anyone who has tried one of these would not recommend it for ease of use and an overall great vape. Maybe there are slight model variations? I dunno, but I have definitely found my PV of choice. I've even ordered some extras from another member on this forum and from a supplier. I can't wait till I can afford to pick up a PCC - although the batts last an incredibly long time already!

That would also be the other thing - the battery life on these things is incredible. For having been a 2 pack a day smoker or so in the past - It's great.

Note: I used to smoke Pall Mall Light 100's - then used an NJoy NCig (801) for 2 years - so if that helps any with your relatives and a comparisson of what I was used to.

Those are some of the exact reasons I went with the Vapor King. I like the no muss no fuss approach and the cartomizers are very easy to refill. I am so happy I did my research before ordering anything and decided to order the VK. I have researched all the models and could not find anything any easier to use. Steve is awesome. I have been vaping since Friday and have not found the need for an analog. I am not so sure I would have been able to do this with the other models. The easier everything is the better, providing the product performs. And I will honestly say the VK is performing much better than I had expected....and the fact I have not found the need for an analog should be a testament especially coming from a 40 year, 1.5 pack a day smoker..

So go with Grimm Green's suggestion of the 808D-1.

After all, GG has probably tried/reviewed more models of e-cigs than most of us.

Sorry to drag this old post back up, but wanted to update. From all the great recommendations on the KR808D-1, I decided to bite the bullet myself and ordered a manual passthru and some cartomizers from Vapor4Life, just to try it out. This thing rocks!

I can definitely recommend this as a low-maintenance, plug and play vaping solution.

The easiest solution I have found is to use a v2 Janty stick and drip - 3-4 drops on a KBC atomiser. It's hard to go wrong with this combination imho.

I'm pretty new to this, but I got a 510 and found it really, really easy to use. I like the fact that the battery is automatic. However, I am a techie, so maybe it just seemed easy to use. The info here is good and thanks. I have a few people that might just benefit from something simpler to use. Never thought about it like that before! But I do love my 510.

At this moment in space and time, it comes down to the 510 and the KR808D-1 as a solid starter.
At least in my opinion, for whatever that's worth.

The bottom line is cost (510) versus convenience (KR808D-1) I think.
