There are several ways to clean out your atty's. Everybody has a different way of going about it. The easiest method is one that works for you. That being said -
The easiest would be just to blow out your atty's. When you're done vapping, hang your device upside down so the juice doesn't pool and drip into your battery. Or just take the atty off, stand on end on a paper towel (battery connection end up).

Sometimes if you vape dark liquids, it can gum up your atty. Then blowing out won't be effective. Some swear by dry burns. Or dry burn, rinse with hot water, dry burn, rinse and then prime and use.

Some swear by the CrestPro Mouthwash. Warm up the mouthwash, set atty in to soak, rinse, blow, prime and vape.

It just depends. I've done all three. In the 7 months of vapping, I've had one original atty die 2 weeks ago, and one I purchased 4 months ago die last week. Of the original 4 atty's that I bought 7 months ago, 3 are still working.

Of the 4 atty's I bought 4 months ago, 3 are still working. However, this is an exception to atty life.

I'm using the 510 atty's I have read too many threads about people who's atty's die after they clean them. I never clean my atty's, just blow them out - that's it. I figure, they're cheap and meant to be replaced if one of them ever "dies" I'll try to resurrect it by cleaning it, but until that time I figure if it ain't broke - don't fix it.

I never try to clean mine anymore. I have lost too many and learned to just replace them.

- What doots said

Best advice. I've learned my lesson, but I guess that's the learning curve here. Maybe cause I only use a limited amount of pg flav juice, there is no reason IMO, to go thru a myriad of cleaning and sanitizing and 'amazing cures' for an $8 atty that could last for months if it is made right.
(considering I had a 2pk a day at $8+ a pk, what's a better deal?)
But with the quality of attys ( 510 at least), it's very possible you may get some bad ones now and then and heck, if you want to give it a try then go ahead and try to revive it or throw it out and start a new one.

- Good luck !

I clean mine only when they start to have a burnt taste. Blow through it if the liquid looks dark and not clear rinse it in hot water and blow dry. I have tried other methods vodka, polident etc. I have found that plain hot water is just as good. I have never had peices of burnt liquid come out of it as others have posted. My att's last for at least a month and some longer 2-3 months. The 901's do not seem to last as long at 5v the 501's last 2-3 months at 3.7v. 501's at 5v get a burnt taste faster.

Im with Rosa n CF n doots - I only clean them if they're pretty much dead already and blowing and draining (upended on paper towel overnight) doesnt change anything. My view is though if its lasted longer than a week, Im ahead on cost anyway.
Carton of cigs per week - $25 (all gone by end of week)
THREE attys + shipping - $30 (so far they all make 3 months old before I get issues)
Juice per week - approx $15 but I dont buy every week and I dont use it all in a week either.
You do the math lol.
