Ok, I have done a bit with diy liquids and use Lorannes for flavoring. I was wondering if there was anything out there that was stronger? What do you all use for adding flavor to your recipes, what do you like the best, and what brand/s seem to be the strongest???

I'm asking because I prefer VG to PG or PEG (whenever I use anything with pg, even in small amounts I get unpleasantly gassy and I don't like the aftertaste of the peg liquids I recieved from Nuvape... ) Using VG the taste tends to fade a bit after my tastebuds get hit with the first few puffs and turn a bit bland... I've upped the Lorannes flavoring in my recipes to almost 25-30% with the same resaults.... Just curious what everyone else does/uses.

I've used Lorannes: Keoke coffee, Black Walnut, strawberry/Kiwi, Champagne, Brandy, Cheesecake, Butter Rum, and Watermelon. (Along with various mixes of all and a few mixes with liquid from the smokesafe- their menthol, cappuccino and grape)
:DThanks in advance for any/all replies:D

This sounds pretty much like my story PG makes me gassy LOL and looking for FLAVOR.

My order from Loranns wont get here until Monday, so you're saying Loranns is week too? I was hoping that would solve my flavor (taste) issues

I'm using VG based unflavored 36mg nic and I cut it 50/50 with pure 100% VG then was hoping to add flavoring....I'm not having too much luck yet.

Some of LorAnn's flavorings are weak, others will knock your socks off. To me the strongest one they have is the cherry, followed closely by the English toffee, coffee, cinn and cinn roll. To me, the weak ones are the marshmallow and cotton candy so I just use those when I need to sweeten it a little bit but don't want to change the flavor. I buy my menthol crystals from Juicy Liquids, good price, fast shipping and awesome people. A little tiny chip is all I have to use in 3ml of juice for my son who was a menthol cig smoker.

then I guess cinn roll will be my first to try, I have 5 coming on Monday.

Cinn Roll
Coconut
Mint Chocholate Chip
Peanut Butter
Root Beer

I'm hoping Loranns is the answer to my flavor issues, will have to check out Cherry on my next order as it is one of the weakest flavors I have tried pre-mixed w/nic from other vendors.

Thanks for the post.

Edit: so using 36mg unflavored nic juice 50/50 with VG. I'm guessing just a drop or two of Loranns for about a 6ml total volume will do?

Start with just a couple of drops and test. It's easier to add more flavor than it is to take it away. I thought the coconut was kind of weak also and I didn't like the rootbeer by itself, i added some vanilla and cream to it and made a rootbeer float with mine.

this stuff is pretty strong.......New Harmon Deer Scent Package

Funniest thing I've read on here in awhile!

Hey wait, so if you have a weak flavor and keep adding to make it stronger what happens? Does it just not get stronger or does it get chemically tasting?

Sorry for all the questions.....guess I'll find out soon enough.

I have yet to get a chemical taste at all. I have ended up with some nasty flavor combos though. But lately I've been doing pretty good, haven't made anything that wasn't vapable. I usually start with .5ml of 36mg unflavored and .5ml of VG making 1ml of juice in a 3ml bottle. I then add drops until I like the taste. Usually adding another ml of the juice and the VG will fill up the 3ml bottle or at least get it to around 2.5 ml. I do it this way just in case i get something really gross. I dont mind dumping 1 ml of juice, but it would kill me to have to toss out more than that.

okay thanks to all, sorry to the OP for hijacking (hopefully my questions and anwers to them will help you too)

I think I have a good starting point now. I've bought so much pre-mixed juice from diff vendors my desk looks more like a drug store ;) and very few have any taste at all. I'm gonna have a couple 3ml bottles with 50/50 VG/Nic ready to go for Monday so I can just add the flavor, shake, fill cart and vape away......

Thanks again, I'm really hoping this works! I gotta get off these things. Its 107 out right now and still find myself outside stinking up the air (and me) instead of staying cool inside vaping my head off LOL

If you find a solution, please post back. I can't use more than 20% VG as I find it kills the taste of anything...I'm wondering if maybe that isn't the issue moreso than the flavorings being weak?

Licorice is a strong flavor. I was also surprised by Mango. I found that after vaping strong flavours I was not able to discern more subtile flavors. As an example after vaping licorice and later Mango I tried to make a coffee bean mix and found it tasteless. I upped the flavor to 30% and it was still tasteless... It tried my coffee bean mix again two days later without using a strong flavour before and ... yes ! The mix was quite good actually.

The Lorann's coffee is extremely strong. It doesn't fade even in 100% VG. I usually mix it with pre-mixed cappuccino and a little sweetener. Sometimes a little cream flavor or pre-mixed cream. Also almond or chocolate are good to add to the coffee.

I have the same trouble since I prefer VG. A lot of times the flavor just fades and fades. But the coffee seems to hold well.
