What is this?

After leaving the vaping world for three years, I have recently jumped back in! I have a Protege that had never been used, so I charged up the batts and fired her up! Works like a champ!

While rummaging through my old vape stuff, I came across two brand new switches. They still have the tie wrap on them. The are black plastic and the button is black plastic as well. Question is....why do I have them? Do they perform differently than the original switch?

I could just pop them in and try em out, but.....

• If I break my Protege, I have no backup. I gave all my 901 stuff to a couple girls who are taking crap at their job and are on a very limited budget.
• I might not figure out what the difference is because everything is new again after such a long hiatus.

These are the best I could get. I took the tie wrap off and discovered why it was there! I can take pics of the disassembled one if you want. The silver/black thing in the pics is my tweezers! LOL...not part of the switch! But you already figured that out didn't you?

That looks like the mechanical switch for it. If you pop the black tie off, and put it in, you should be able to use it Or, if your Protege is running fine, put this switch back from where it came!!!!

OK....I'll keep them as spares. I still love my Protege! Actually I have two and love them both! Thanks again!
