I'm into flavor rather than clouds. My favorite RDA is the Origen, and I generally do one or two cotton macro coils with a resistance somewhere between 1.2 and 1.5. I use 26 or 28 kanthal, depending on the number of coils. I'm a big fan of vertical coil drippers, and will definitely shell out for the Veritas next time I'm feeling flush; I'm very curious about its desaign.

My favorite RBA is the Pulse G, which I also build with cotton, but a bit higher - like 1.5 to 1.7 - because of the severely reduced chamber. Anything lower is just too much, if you know what I mean.

:)

And thanks for starting this thread, Ryuoska! Lately I've been getting the feeling that new people automatically assume that RDAs and mechanicals only work at sub-ohm resistances. I've no idea where this peculiar idea comes from, but it certainly seems to be making the rounds!

Hey guys, I ordered a kayfun lite + V2 and have been searching coil builds for the last week. All that I seem to find is sub ohm builds....I'm glad this has popped up. Is there somewhere I can go to see some videos or tutorials on non sub ohm builds?

Lol really it's the same thing, just more wraps, thicker gauge.

Also my non-sub-ohm builds tend to be 1.2-1.8 ohms. 2.1 seems too high on most of my devices, noticeably changes battery life.

The thing is anytime you search coil builds you get sub ohm builds. IT'S EVERYWHERE!

On the contrary, I don't think igetcha69 has EVER done a sub-ohm build in a video. He's an "old-skool" vaper and prefers everything to be 1.0+

But personally, I find that the Kayfun performs better at sub-ohm. And "sub-ohm" doesn't have to be a .02 quad coil or some ridiculous dumb dangerous ..... I'm talkin' like .8 ohms, .7 lowest? Assuming you have a device that can fire at that, I find it works a lot better, and you don't have to crank the voltage/wattage super high to get it to perform (assuming you're on a VV/VW device).
