I think I am just as hooked on visiting vape shops/lounges as I am to my rig, in my short few weeks vaping I have visited several shops in the PDX/metro area just to see what's out there and who's got the deals that are local to me.

What baffles me is when I get these shop owners/workers asking how long I've been vaping and what mod am I using, I have gotten a response of " you can probably get more with less " being a beginner.... My standard follow up to that is " what non sub ohm devices do you carry? " and sadly 95% of these shops/lounges are only pushing sub ohm devices.

I'll admit, I went overkill with my first mod being a sub-ohm setup, I don't regret it one bit, but wanting to learn more, grow my collection and knowledge base regarding different setups is hard when every shop/lounge I come across is pushing sub-ohm gear.

My one and only mod =======> Smok Alien 220W w/ Cleito 120 tank, 12mg house made Dragon Fever ( strawberry with a hint of mint on exhale ) that is very tasty. I run anywhere between 45-80W depending on the mood and if I want to really let the tank guzzle, I'll bump it up to 110W for max flavor/vapor.

With that being said, I am looking for advice on a non sub-ohm, low/medium watt range pen-style setup that would be capable of running a 50/50 blend of at least 18+ nic range that I can play around with and start a rotation depending on mood and stress level.

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome,
I wouldn't put 18mg/ml in it, but some 6mg/ml or 12mg/ml might be fine.

The innokin is a great starter device for MTL. I think the zelos beginner's kit is great too. It comes with a 50 watt mod or a 75 with TC (that isn't that fantastic, but it does mean more battery life). I have one as my backup mod that I cart around (due to weight and size) but it also comes with the Nautilus 2, which is a fantastic MTL tank, and my first MTL tank, it got me off cigarettes completely....

Good luck, there are several great options out there, but you may need to do some online ordering, it's been my experience that a lot of vape shops will mostly carry sub0hm equipment too. Best of luck, some people find Vapecrawler (it's a website) to be helpful for finding good prices on equipment (though you can do so with a general search, too).

Good luck on finding another setup that suits your needs....

I can use Cubis tanks on 18650 mods all day long. Now.. most people think the Cubis should have been jettisoned into space but that's because they never understood that it's design flaw was also it's strength.
If I didn't have Cubis, next on the list are things like Eleaf GS range, Joyetech Tron, Aspire Nautilus.
'Pen' e-cigs don't figure much in my life, as the lack of adjustment causes problems. Sure, I have some but most atomizers require variable power/watts just to get them to either vape properly (enough power) or not burn (too much power).
For example, the Joyetech eGo AIO is a nice little pen, but on full charge can kill the 0.6ohm atomizer in 20 minutes. The same goes for many other products.
Most of them suck, they really do. If I want to stealth, I'll use a tiny box mod and 2ml tank.

One thing I liked about the Endura line from Innokin is that although they function like an all-in-one they actually have removable tanks and a 510 connection. I don't know how they deal with Wattage/Voltage though. The T20 says max 13W and the T20-S says max 18W. So; I don't know if it's a constant Wattage depending on the resistance of your atomizer or if it gives a max Wattage at full charge and then depletes as your battery discharges.

Aren't all Kayfun's rtas? I could be wrong.

Yes, they are RTAs and I understand there is a new RDA called Gorgon.

The Mini v3 is an excellent tank for mouth to loungers and is pretty slim so I thought it could be a good alternative if paired with a tube mod.

It seemed to me that OP is looking for a MTL device as he wants something slim that can handle 18mg liquid.

Smoevesto has launched a new RTA for us MTL vapers: Kayfun Prime . I'm looking forward to get one [emoji16]

I have K5 clone. Flavor was great, but never could get the wick just right.

Don't know about clones but I love the K5. Has worked flawlessly for me and it is the atty I use the most.

Try using a 2.5 mm inner diameter coil (28 g , about 7 wraps) and use a little more cotton. I'm currently using fiberfreaks pre-cut wicks and are great.

I don't think you could wrong with the suggestions above. I don't know how I quit smoking so easily with the Joyetech eCab, but I did. I moved on pretty quickly to an eGo Twist and clearomizer system and used that for two years. It kept me happy and I never picked up another cigarette.

Beginner equipment has improved dramatically since I started vaping. I would steer you toward the Innokin Endura line as I think the key is keeping it simple, simple, simple. There are three - the T-18, T-20, and T-22. Coils should be no lower than 1.5ohms for the nicotine level you are looking for.

Here is a video that goes over the T-18, which is probably all you need.

MyFreedomSmokes has the best prices on all three of the Endura model domestically.
I have done business with them regularly for over 4 years and have never been disappointed.
They ship quickly and you can even pay for faster shipping though regular First Class has been quite fast for me.

Good luck. I honestly believe you would be much happier with this than with your Alien and Clieto combination. Put those in a drawer and pull them out when you are ready to up your game.

I felt the Kayfun Mini V3 was perfection and ticked all the boxes. My only complaint was the diameter. I thought it looked silly on my Provari. Then I came across the Mini V3 Plus, which is exactly the same thing, but bigger. I bought 3 of those and with my 2 Provari's, I'm done. I look at all the tanks and mods I've bought over the years and wonder how much money I blew on them. No more. I'll never buy another tank or a mod. This combination is the best you can do, in my opinion.
