The question is pretty simple but I wanted to start a conversation between us metal heads and rock music lovers(and concert attenders). I didn't post this in the metal vapers forum because this can apply to more than just metal concerts.

I'm a huge rock n roll and metal fan and attend many concerts but haven't gone to one since I started vaping four months ago.

However I remember at an Otep concert a few weeks before my quit smoking date I really didn't care what happened to my pack of $6 cigarettes or $1 lighter.

But I am horribly uncomfortable with my Provari mini and glass OCD tanks being lost or destroyed in the mosh pit and front near the stage. Metal concerts can get rough and I know I'll want to take a few vapes when the.other bands are setting up stage or taking a break or preparing for a song.

I am thinking about a little 650mah ego battery and a simple boge cartomizer. I contemplated getting a disposable but frankly they taste like garbage to me now and don't satisfy.

I don't know about just leaving my pv in the car and running outside to vape for a second because some places ridiculously charge a small fee if you leave and come back, I could lose my spot, and depending on where it is and how large it is my vehicle could be parked quite a walk away. I am assuming I'd be fine to not vape at all because I tend to not get so anxious when secluded from vaping like I was with smoking but I am not sure how I'd do with multiple hours of not vaping, and not to mention there will be smokers everywhere smoking and that will make me miss my vapestick. ;)

I'd like suggestions and for everyone who attends concerts to share how they go about vapegear at a concert.

The Zippo mod would be safe in a pocket, as would a couple of the mini eGo batteries. A Reo is pretty much bullet proof but more expensive.

The Provari is literally rocket launcher proof. Lol I'm not worried about the Provari breaking(only my glass tanks) or being harmed. More specifically losing it. I like to mosh and I'd hate for it sling out of my pocket. That's why I am aiming to get something I wouldn't die over if it stayed at the concert by mistake. I think my best bet is a 650mah ego so far.

For a mosh pit I'd recommend something inexpensive that you wouldn't mind losing or breaking.

The eGo Mini ($12) with an inexpensive polypropylene DCT 3.5ml tank would be one choice. You could possibly use a lanyard for the mini eGo and but make certain its worn INSIDE your shirt. You wouldn't want people pulling on the lanyard while hoisted in the air. Search results for: 'ego mini'

An alternative to that would be a $16 Smoktech Gripper (not the Variable Volt version) - Gripper The Gripper uses a XL length 45mm carto that hides within the body, just add a tight-fitting drip tip and you're good to go. It uses a 16340 battery so it would last you all night.

The tanks can be purchased inexpensively in a kit at My Vapor Store 510 Pro DCTank Combo for $21. If you have 45mm cartos already, you can also just purchase the tank shell for 8.50 - Pro DCTank Tube I don't think I would trust a carto alone or a clearomizer in a pit.

I attended a much tamer outdoor concert last summer and brought my Provari and BB in a lanyard. I saw Loverboy, Pat Benetar, and Journey together.

Be very careful trying to take anything PV wise that you love through the gates at concerts. I'm normally "behind the scenes" at the concerts and festivals that I work at, and have seen security confiscate these devices out of ignorance, thinking they are something else.

That being said, an ego batt or something concealable like that and a plastic tank would be "ok" for the mosh pit.:headbang:

To get into the concert that I attended last summer, I had to pass a security check. Basically they were looking for weapons and possibly true illegals that can be smoked, and no folding chairs (this was an outdoor concert, personal chairs had to be left at outside the entrance to be collected after the show). While waiting in this line, I asked one of the security persons if my e-cigs were ok to bring in (An extended Provari and BB on a lanyard) and she cheerfully said they were fine.

I got tickets yesterday to attend an indoor Muse concert the middle of February. This will be non-festival seating (same facility where the Who tradegy occured decades ago), so I haven't decided yet what vape devices that I will bring.
