I'm waiting for my "poor man's Subtank Mini" to arrive from FT. Authentic v2 base and RBA Plus, and a clear acrylic bell cap. $15.17 shipped. I'm currently exclusively dripping and trying to get back to tanks but I need airflow and higher wattage (35-40w) ability. Tried the Lemo v1 and Kayfun v4 that I have had for a while, but didn't like them.

I never thought the flavor output of the STM was great. I never felt I was tasting what I should be, or the flavor rarely matched descriptions. I tried the various stock coils available, tried all kinds of builds on the RBA, including vertical coils, tried different wicking techniques, but still in the end I felt the flavor should be better.

So I moved to getting a Cthulu, and a Lemo2 and they were a small improvement, but I was still left thinking I wasn't getting the flavor I should.

Then I got a Herakles, the Crown and the GEM, and WOW! What an improvement! I found the true to description flavor I was looking for. If you like nice airy draws, the Herakles and the Crown are great. When I went back to visit the STM, it was like taking a hit off a Nautilus Mini, LOL.

I have many subtanks. V1, V2, newer rba deck, love em all. But they are far from the best tanks on the market. The chimney is a bit long to give great flavor. The new vertical coils make them very airy though. I've settled in on the Goblin Mini at this point. The flavor on these things rivals most RDA's. Fill method sucks and cant rebuild without draining the tank, but it makes up for it all with flavor minus the dripping.

I have three: 2 older style and 1 '+' version. The two older ones mostly collect dust because of the lack of enough air flow, the "+" I have outfitted with a 'top fill' aftermarket top and it sees use daily.

Easy to build, easy to fill (with the new top fill added) and decent airflow. I've yet to have it leak on me. I use the "+" or "v2" RBA with them. Whats not to like?

While it is easy to build on there is limited room. While I generally only run one coil I can easily fit two coils in a Lemo2. The Lemo2 has better air flow and with the larger deck - bigger builds and more vapor production.

After liking the STM I mistakenly purchased the full sized version. Sadly the RBA takes up most of the extra tank capacity and the darned thing 'whistles' while vaping. Sadly I purchased two of them. They collect dust.

My Aspire tanks mostly collect dust as well as the Trition RBA is a joke and the stock Atlantis2 has to little of tank capacity.

The "billow v1" which was highly recommended by the local B&M works well enough but must remain vertical otherwise it leaks like crazy. I like the idea of dual coils but fear that it will be retired to the junk pile soon.

Currently I have a build in the Anyvape RBA which runs circles around anything I've put in the STM RTA - I'm quite happy with it. I'm still hoping that I can get more production out of my favorite STM to match it.

The current "main 3" that I use are a STM+ (or v2), Lemo2 and Anyvape Sega.

The STMv2 is hard not to recommend. While there are tanks that can (and do) perform better it is a reliable addition to anyone's tank lineup.

I haven't left them. Either legit or clone.

They are just such a stable platform. Perfect backups. Never leak. Never take a notion. Nuttin'.

I find flavor and vapor to be good.

I use RTA's mostly and they treat me well but the STM is a solid little unit.

For you folks that have been using the new Kanger Subtank Mini V2, I have a question ....

I understand that the V2 comes with replaceable Kanger OCC coil heads, but also comes with a build deck that allows you to build your own coil on.

Which do you find better ... Using the replaceable Kanger OCC coil heads or just making your own coils using the build deck that also comes with this device?

    Thanks,

I left Mini cause the flavor just wasn´t there.
I only used RBA and made the juice channels bigger but it just did not give the flavor I wanted and was used to with other atties.

That was the main reason I went back to my Lemo Drop. People's tastes vary so in the end you just have to try them for yourself. I got a hunch, however, that some people are just tasting the spit-back and then conclude it has great flavor, I dunno.

I haven't left it because for my vaping, it is the perfect tank.
    I vape 50/50 or 40/60 juice at 17-20 J 160-180 C
For me, the hit and flavor are there.
Haven't had a leak I can't blame on me (forgot the top to the RBA, didn't tighten the base onto the tank fully, really under wicked it).
Now, everything seems to be 120W quad coils. If I wanted a fog machine, I'd visit my local party rental store.
So, I'll stay with my STMs and wind Ti to my content.

I still use it, and like it alot, but prefer lemo 1 and 2, as I never get spitback from those, and I think the flavor is better in those on my max vg liquids. I very much like the wide airflow, and have just got the new version with dual airslots, and the new rba head is also great with the much better wicking on max-vg from the big holes on the sides. It's also a very much more varm vape than e.g. my lemo's...
