What makes a Clearo Mod-Worthy?

Someone in another thread said that an OP would "burn out flimsy coils" while talking about a particular clearo paired with a mod.

What in the design of a clearo makes it mod worthy? Please edumucate me. Thanks.

Hmmmm....wish I could answer that. I've been vaping on and off for about 5 years and whenever I've fried a coil/atty it's been user error. I'm sure that's not the answer you are looking for, but honestly the question....I'm not quite sure what the OP you are referring to was talking about

Pretty much any clearo is fine on any mod as long as the power supplied is appropriate for the coil. If one ups the power to the point of a burning taste and the coil runs dry for an extended period, it will likely fail sooner.

It's not the mod that melts coils. It's how much power you pull from it that may or may not be too much for the (usually) thinner wires used in clearos - as opposed to thicker wires more commonly used by rebuilders.

Without knowing anything about wattage, wire gauge and resistance (thus amount of wire used) - there's really no way to tell.

As a very general statement I'd say any mod can burn out any inadequate coil.

Ok, fine. We'll stop talking about mods. Who knows the science of what power is acceptably handled by what clearomizer / coil designs? Why?

I gotta say - everybody has the pedal to the metal here. But, when it's time to get Science behind what everyone's doing, not a whole lot emerges.
