Yeah, I'm ....... And disgusted. But I'm not losing sleep. And I'm not stockpiling.

A new Prohibition is coming. Sure, there aren't even a fraction of vapers compared to the drinkers all those years ago, so there won't be speakeasy's popping up in dark alleys. But there's certainly money to be made and where there is money to be made there will be a market. And we have something they didn't have back in the day, which would be the Interwebs. If one can buy ...... and Ambien and what-have-you prescription drugs with a mouse click, I think we'll be able to find eliquid and tanks and mod's out there on the vast World Wide Information Superhighway.

Of course, it's going to be expensive. There will be a lot of price gouging - supply and demand, baby. Plus the cost of overseas shipping if you go that route. If I have to, I'll pay it. And if it gets bad, then yeah, at some point maybe I'll buy some Nic/PG/VG from some website based in Bolivia or wherever and learn DIY juicing and how to build coils or wrap coils or whatever the hell it is you do with the damn coils.

Just one vaper's opinion. But moi, right now, I'm gonna wait and see what happens over the next couple or few years before I start stockpiling batteries. (People are stockpiling batteries?! Really?)

I'm not stockpiling batteries, or wire, or rayon... But I'll be darned if I'm going to subject myself to paying out the nose for some nic base of questionable quality along with the chance it would be seized at the border. It's just not necessary since I can legally buy top quality for cheap right now. But to each his own. I wish you luck. Sounds like it might be quite the adventure. :)

The only thing I'm stockpiling is nicotine, atomizers, and mods, both mechanical and regulated.

However, I'm quite confident that we'll probably see variable-output flashlight power supplies with 510 connections on the market at some point.

Which would fall under the FDA deeming regulations for "intended use", especially as flashlights don't use 510 connectors.

The FDA may be ham fisted, power hungry, and as crocked as a dog's hind leg, but they're not stupid.

They are not calling it a ban or prohibition but for all intents and purposes that is exactly what the fda and now PA are doing. I am afraid it is just a matter of time before it hits all 50 states.

Some enterprising flashlight bulb company will make a lot of bucks when it engineers a bulb with a 510 connection. Possibly a mod-maker could engineer one of these.

Not really. Considering the total cost of development/marketing over what's already on the market, it's extremely doubtful you'd get a company to buy into that. Especially when they found out the "intended use", which could land them into a lot of hot water for failing to submit a PTMA.

Hmmmm? Would a PMTA be required? That exemplifies how absurd these regs are and how far they could reach.
ETA: Retired1 beat me to it.....dang slow typing!

As far as the ability to find products "somewhere", there is always the problem of getting them "home." If Nebraska can catch some people bringing Missouri fireworks into the state, the "powers that be" can catch some shipments. Yeah, only some or few are caught, but with my luck, I would fall into that group. And don't bring up "hitting the lottery" or "being hit by lightning"......you don't know how my luck runs. :)

I'd suggest stockpiling what you can now while you know the quality, and most importantly, safety of the products currently on the market. Black market will be loaded with 3mg juice titrating at 30mg because someone can't do math. Or devices with bad wiring or chips.

I am stock piling my favorite ejuice, maybe a year of it but I am not going to make e liquid at home. I don't want to know how to do it, I just want to buy it. After that then I will quit vaping and hope I will never go back to cigarettes.

Seriously it's super simple. If it came down to it for you that is. 3 or 4 ingredients, a bottle and a measuring device of some kind... Done
